Default HeadDoc is Now a MODERATOR

It is my honor, and pleasure, to announce that HeadDoc has agreed to assume MOD functions on this Forum.

This is the very first time I have asked anyone to join me at this level. Because HeadDoc is a professional, he definitely qualifies. He has demonstrated a selfless dedication to helping the gentlemen out here--for some time now--in addition to the long hours he puts into his own clinical practice.

HeadDoc has been doing some exciting work in the area of cognitive improvement. I have asked him to spearhead the exploration of this topic on this Forum. You young bucks are largely interested in your sex hormone levels, but, as you age, the insidious appearance of "brain fog" will turn you to an interest in improving your cognitive function.

I am looking forward to learning about this exciting field from HeadDoc. Let's all give him a hand!

Welcome in HeadDoc. I'm only 39 and have tremendous troubles with brain fog which I think contributes a large part of my sexual difficulties. I would deeply appreciate his insight in these areas.

Thank you one and all, especially Swale. I have learned alot from him starting over two years ago as I was just perceiving the need for a new "shot " to my brain. Over the next few months, I'll being doing literature searches and reviews to define adequate cognition in the aging brain, how to simply and practically evaluate the same, and what can be done to keep the brain adequate and as timeless as can be had. This will involve behavioral interventions, supplements, and finally medications. I want to sort the wheat from the shaft in this area. So thanks again.

Now for me, I'm here this weekend in Burbank with my youngest daughter and her husband celebrating her birthday and looking at the sonogram pictures of my grandson--who's expected in four months. Be in touch when I'm back in Phoenix. Back to the party. Pat

Excellent!
I have had a keen interest in nootropics, and "smart drugs" for some time now. I should say I had absolutely noticed an improvement in cognitive function since my dabbling in them. I stopped because I thought they could possibly be messing with my hormone levels since they were very abnormal.
Swale or HeadDoc, what do you guys think about Piracetam, Salbutamine, etc afffecting the HPTA? I would like to resume taking these as they did help my mental clarity to a noticable degree but I do not want to throw my hormones out of balance.
