Default Hearing problems?

I haven't posted for a while and thought i would ask for some feedback.

One of the major symptoms i had from day was a weird feeling of preasure in my ears. After my initial testicular injury, 6 week's passed and i was diagnosed with an ear infection. I was told some kind of scaring had become apparent in my right ear drum. Though another doctor a day letter said nothing could be seen. I wasn't sure what to believe but continue the anti-biotics as intended. This was the start of the phantom symptoms that would begin to appear.

This cleared up eventually and i went back to what i believed was normal (hearing wise). On ocoasins i would have ringing in my ear's (either ear) or other weird feelings like tingling.

My skin in general has been the area worst effected by this hormonal nightmare. I now break out in frequent rashes, red blushes, dry skin, skin thinning and weird skin pigimenttion changes.

Over the past few week's i have noticed an increasing weirdness in both ear's. It's difficult to describe other than a kind of preasure or tissue change causing a weird sensation all round. It's possible that my ear's canel's feel like they have closed in somewhat.

I have noticed more difficulitiy in hearing people at times and almost a muffled like feeling when on the phone. At night my hearing is better (as are some of the other symptoms). I can still hear the wind outside for example. Conversations i was sure i could once hear, i believe i no longer can. I need to sit closed and I have been asking a few people to repeat themself's recently.

I had to stop a conversation on the phone becase i couldn't hear what my friend was saying.

I am a professional musician/producer that was hoping to go into movie scoring and high-end work (I am a classically trained pianist) and i feel like not only is my libido and dick failing me but now my ear's. If that was to happen, it would ruin my whole life and everything i worked for. To say this illness is brutal and horrendous is beyond words.

If i continue to get no help from doctors here in the UK (Who won't offer me blood tests) i will be getting a solicitor involved next. I am sick and tired of being treated like some kind of idiot with phantom symptoms (or so doctors like to see them).

Has anyone else experienced hearing difficulties, problems or weird symptoms since hormnes went bad?

I think it's possible low thyroid + low e2 are resulting in dry skin on my ear drum (or inner ear) causing more wear and tear than normal. This is only a theory though.

WHAT?!?!!! Hey Dave, sorry, couldn't resist. How ARE you, buddy? Long time no hear! (no pun intended) I seriously doubt your hearing problem has much to do with your hypogonadism. Very often, when someone gets a serious ear infection, there are chronic problems. I work with a woman who has similar issues. Have you had a hearing test done recently?.....I SAID, HAVE YOU HAD A HEARING TEST DONE RECENTLY!!!??? Just having some fun with you. Seriously though - Get that done and find out if there is actually any real damage...and also what you can do to prevent any further deterioration.

I suspect you still have the ear infection. Ear infections in adults can be very difficult to treat. It may require months of continuous use of an antibiotic. Many docs, even ENT's do not seem to be aware of this.

Thanks for the replies guy's.

I am going to phone the hearing centre tomorrow and book an appointment, hopefully i won't need to go through my regular doctor to get this (finger's crossed).

Can't help yourself can you Jimbo? Since you are online, now would be a good time to give feedback on the Libido/ED thread you promised to post on

Ouch! Burn me, oh Megadude! Yeah, yeah, I know I promised that. I will get to it. Bill from NJ - Glad you like my jokes - You're the only one, by the way. I kid with Mega/Dave because we are friends - Actually met at Dr. Mariano's last June - Our appointments were on the same day!!! Weird, huh? So that night, we went out on the town and absolutely trashed Carmel - It will never be the same. Right Dave?

I'll bring the Caverject!

Yes, I plan on going back in June - Only this time I want to spend a couple of days on the beach, drive up to Hearst Castle, etc. - Make more of a vacation out of it. Actually, I was just thinking, we could round up an entire group of hypogonadal men from this site and descend on poor Dr. Mariano (all on the same day) with our collective whining!!!!! Just kidding, Dr. M. You're a nice guy, I wouldn't want to inflict such torture on you!

mega
at about the same time my hormones went skewiff i also lost 50% hearing in my left ear...

one doc said it was sudden deafness syndrome and put me on 40mg of prednisone for a week...another said it was menieres and sent me to a ENT specialist, he disagreed and said my symptoms were not in line with a diagnosis of menieres. not only do i get intermittent hearing loss , but also tinnitus (ringing) and a feeling oif fullness that waxes and wanes.

Mega, I also have hearing problems ,but I dont worry to much about it as it saves me from listening to all the lies and shit that most people talk. Now if I had a eyesight problem ,then I would be really worried, as I would not be able to look at all those pretty girls. Yes , life's great here in asia.
