I have high DHT [97 ng/dl w/ reference range of 25-75 ng/dl]. The result is that I suffer from BPH and a prostate abcess. What can I do to get DHT levels in check without worstening my sex drive and causing harm to my trt results. I already take Arimidex for high total Es. Can nettle, beta sisterol, saw palmetto or a combination of these help with the elevated DHT?

im on propecia for high dht, and its potent stuff indeed. i use it to prevent hairloss, but it effects the sex drive. i lowered the dose to get a good balance. saw palmetto will help the prostate. x |

HCG is supposed to lower DHT because it increases progesterone, if I am not mistaken. |

1cc, I take .60mg of Tcyp every three days; 100 iu of HCG every day, and Arimidex at .25mg when needed (I'm supposed to take it every other day but it lowers my E2 too much; I take it to lower my total Es). My supplements are liquid multi vitamin, collodial minerals, 10,000mg of fish oil a day, digestive enzymes, fiber and Alpha Lipoic Acid. Also, I have never had m progesterone levels drawn.

Hummm... High E2? If it is not controlled then you are far more in danger of BPH from that than from a 1.5 normal DHT level. Your level of DHT is exactly where I want mine to be. With recent studies, DHT as the cause of Prostate problems is just a sham from medicine and Big Pharma trying to sell meds. |

Actually, I've just been studying articles on prostate health and found that the estrogen-progesterone balance in men and not elevated dht is essential to alleviate prostate issues. i'm sure many people were aware of this. Lowering prolactin is one way of balancing estrogen and progesterone. High dose B6 and low dose Zinc (50-70mg) is the way to go short of taking Dostinex. Along with DIM, TMG, stinging nettle and/or beta sisterol and a good multi vitamin/multi mineral, things should feel a lot better. I'd like to stay away from saw palmetto though. After researching many articles, I'd rather leave the DHT alone. My sex drive issues should be taken care after the prolactin decreases and dopamine goes up. Does anyone know how high a dose of B6 does it take to affect prolactin?

Same story with the aspirin. It's an anti-platelet agent, so it will give you some protection against clotting, but it doesn't do anything to lower hgb and hct. To lower them, you will either have to donate blood or get a therapeutic phlebotomy, or hold your TRT for a while. If they are only slighly elevated, maintaining your fluid volume by drinking plenty of water can help some. |

Your T Cyp dose is too high. Are you doing your T shots IM or SubQ? The best way to control Estrogen is by taking the correct T dosage. If you correct your T dosage, you will probably not need arimidex anymore. Controlling E using arimidex is extremely difficult. Arimidex does not affect Total E's much. Dropping your T dosage should reduce Total E's back to normal. If you do your T shots IM E3D, then you only need to take HCG on the day before your next shot( 100iu-250iu depending on your results). BTW, when I was doing T Cyp IM E3D, my dosage was 21mg T Cyp E3D and 100iu per day HCG, and this kept my T levels in the upper quarter of the lab range from T shot to T shot. Quote:
