I made some half-percent Testosterone cream and have been applying it to my genitals as Dr. Shippen instructs, but I also admit to perhaps applying a bit too much because I wasn't sure if I had made it exactly .5 percent. For all I know, I could have made it stronger, although I don't think so. I also inject 100 mg of Test Enathate a week and I've been taking Proviron, which increases DHT, so lately, I've been breaking out with pimples all over my face, which from I understand, is a clear sign of excessive DHT. I've never been one to break out with a multitude of pimples, but that is what is happening now at the age of 38. However, my libido doesn't seem to be affected at all. I always thought that DHT is responsible for libido. What do you guys think? And no, I haven't had any blood tests because I am poor, have no insurance and I self-medicate. |

5mg T cream to your genitals every day is too much. I believe Shippen recommends it 3 times per week. It is probably suppressing your Estrogen production which would cause your libido problems, because DHT is an anti-aromatase. If your estrogen levels are normal, it would be a bad idea to increase DHT because it will then go below normal. BTW, it is not necessary to place T Cream on the genitals to increase DHT. If your Estrogen is normal, it would be better to apply it to your inner bicep area. This way you will get a DHT as well as Estrogen conversion, balancing things out. Was your DHT low to start with? Normally, I have a very high estrogen level. And I was applying it to my genitals to prevent my penis from shriveling up like it sometimes does. But maybe you're right about the excess DHT acting as an anti-aromatase. |
