I've always viewed creams negatively for a couple of reasons. One was the daily hassle of putting the cream on every day, and second and most important was, the cream rubbing off on a family member. It seems however that using creams of some sort, may be inevitable, like for example using DHEA cream which I believe does not convert to Estrogen. It seems to me that the best site to apply a compounded cream (compounded because it can be made sufficiently strong with a small amount of gel or cream whereas Androgel is a lot of gel), would be the inner thighs. There is a patch there where the skin is thin and not very hairy (comparable to the inner arms). Also, more importantly one always wears pants (hopefully ), and this would eliminate any concern of transferring to others. Wearing a T shirt in summer if one is applying Androgel, I feel is almost undoable. Just thought someone might find this helpfull. |

One study I saw does talk about not placing any cloth, etc approximating it for at least 30 minutes. I would advise placing it on an area like the arms that might not have sleeves, but I don't have kids at home now. There was a disclosure a while back of andro being used by a father before work outs causing pre-mature maturation in his preadolescent son. This can be a worry. 'Course we are aware that Andro is not effective in raising Testosterone- just ask the FDA. My own thoughts are to find a suitable type of skin as a reservoir, not too thin, but enough to adsorb after absorption. Fat content can be a problem with the chance of aromatization. I like several areas alternating so that saturation is not met, yet the enzymatic potential of an area is decreased. I just place my morning Andro/DHEA after shower, put on a robe and drink my coffee. My evening T creme is placed when I can wear sweats etc that will not touch the skin. LOts of systems work, one just has to try and find one that gives the best panels with the least product. |

I think you are right, I think I have poor circulation in my feet, so I would only use a little in that area. I have read though that the top of the feet has think skin, but the circulation issue may make that moot.

It has to be on the scrotum but you need the RIGHT product and that's AndroMen 5% T cream. It has no alcohol in the formulation so no skin problems (common with AndroGel), no boozy smell (comes from the alcohol in many formulations), is pharmaceutical grade rather than a compounded product, is cheaper (the very high absorption rates through scrotal skin means lower doses applied for the same effect). Scrotal application is safe - check out this research paper (really bad scan but the infos all there). http://www.androgel.us/TransdermalTestosteroneTreatmentsCarruthers.pdf Costs me $100 per 50gms tube and that's 50 days supply at a single dose a day - only need 1 dose because of the great rate of absorption through the skin of the scrotum. I order from http://www.hormonesolutions.com.au |

Aren't creams, gels, and patches supposed to stimulate hair growth on the area directly applied?? not too vain about that. Just need to know in case I decide my forehead and nose... Seriously, I heard bad hair growth where ever applied. Is this correct?

| The scrotum is the worst place to apply T Cream because it all converts to DHT, and not T. This will also cause the HPTA to shut down any existing production of LH. If you do labs, you will find no increase in T at all, and most likely a decrease in T from baseline due to HPTA suppression. Your DHT labs however will be very high.

When I first started on TRT 25 yrs ago I had 3 hairs on my chest now I have hair all over my back and chest and belly. And is does not stop growing it gets dam long so I have to trim it down using calipers with a 1/2" Gard on it.
