Default IGF1 Below ref range

Question...

IGF-1 below rr (117 range of 126 - 380).

should i be concerned. 1st endo said he only checked it to see if was too high...which may indicate a tumor of some sort. mri came back normal. lh(5)and fsh(7) are normal, sperm analyis normal (90mill and 50% motile), prolactin normal.

no meds...yet. trying to understand why symptoms (low libido, fatigue, poor/weak erections, excess abdominal fat, chest fat...not gyne as no tissue/nodules present).

awaiting 2nd opinion with anther endo. 1st endo only treats hypogonadal patients that are below 200 for TT. my TT ranges from 340 to 450 since last oct...no meds/treatment and am readings.

more testing needed to uderstand low igf1? lipid panel normal.

thanks
jack

Yes I would be concerned about that test result.
You should follow it up with a repeat test and get another opinion. Its indicative of a low GH level.
How old are you?

I'm not sure if this might help, but here is some info:

A sharp drop in a few months suggests a situational cause rather than a constitutional problem.

true. but it was pretty low to begin with. i do need it tested again to see if it continues to plummet.
