The first thing I got was oily skin it is so bad I use wipes on my face to take the slick off 4 to 5 times a day. T. will make your skin oily. I took me about 4 months to get off my ass and feel like doing things again. Little by little my libido came back and with in a yr. I could go back to work from sick leave and not be off again.

I got really oily skin when i did test shots back in the fall for about two months but havent noticed it at all since i've been on androgel yet. I've had severely dry skin in my legs for about 8 months that itch like crazy when i get out of the shower. Thats what i'm hoping will get better with time cus i figure that has something to do with my t being deficient.

wow I didnt know dry skin was a symptom of low t... I guess that explains why my hands have been overly dry. Hey your hands and feet getting cold really easily isnt a symptom too is it. I have had this problem lately(might just be cause I'm too skinny)

Thanks for the comment. I never connected this with low T until now. I've had the same problem consistently in winters since puberty. Itching went down after I started TRT four years ago. This winter, I raised my T Cypionate inj from 3.0 to 3.5cc, and observed that the itching problem is gone, at least so far.

I didnt ever have this itching until about this time last year. This is when i suspect my T first dropped off. Mine also got better when i was on shots and is a little better since i've been on Androgel for over a month now.

Winters1jm this for me was high Estradiol "E2" my lower legs were dry and itch if I scratch them I am in big trouble. Hell I had a bad bout with it last night and after taking may dose of Arimidex it stoped. This is the first thing that happens to me when my E2 is going up. Yesterday was my T shot day and that night about 7pm my legs started acting up. Have your E2 tested.

As a matter of fact, I think it IS an indicator. I wouldn't say it's a sypmtom. During my follow up visits with my doc, he checks how cold my hands and feet are. (They have always been cold and they still are cold).

Increased sebum production (oily skin) will occur when T levels rise.

Cold hands and feet is often a clinical indicator of low thyroid. Did you do a full thyroid panel (T3, Free T3, T4, Free T4, TSH)?

In some cases, mine included, my doctor went more on the clinical observations of low thyroid rather than the blood tests (which indicated in the low end of normal).

Yes and you should get this tested before trying TRT.

Speaking of which, does anyone know about these results i had. They show to be in the normal range but i have A LOT of the symptoms that go along with hyper and hypo thyroid conditions.

TSH 0.90 mcU/mL (0.3-5)
FT4 1.23 ng/dL (0.6-1.8)

Josh

Cold hands and feet is also a symptom of weak adrenal function. So that could be a possibility as well.
