Is this high E?

I am on T cream and apply it every morning. A strange thing happens though. My libido is shot, but if I get even a small whiff of libido (if you could even call it that), its in the morning, before ive applied the T cream. Usually when I apply the T cream, the libido dissapears. This sounds like high E.

Things is when I do get a something that resembles a libido, it doesnt feel anywhere near right, and I get really HOT. LIke im burning up inside. I dont know if you would call this hot flushes or not....but i feel like im on fire. Thing is, it coincides with when my libido "wants to pick up, but doesnt". Also my chest feels itchy too, but not really my nipples and I get a wierd tingling in my toungue. Hope im making sense here.....lol. Its really hard to explain.

The main thing i want to know is this. What is the hot feeling from?

That sure sounds like high Estradiol "E2" but please get it tested first before taking anything if your to low you can feel like this also.

Thanks Phil, my E2 when last tested only got up to about 33. I wouldve expected higher, but this could be way too high for me.

How about the tingling in the toungue? That is very bizarr. Ive googled it and found women who are going through menopause get it which would tell me it could be from E dropping??...Doesnt fit in with our high E theory though.

I dont know how I know, but I just know that this tingling in my tounge is to do with the same thing thats blocking my libido. I get the tingly toungue, the itchy chest and if my libido feels like its coming back I get hot. I used to get a rapid heart beat also but this hasnt happened in a while.

What counts is proper level of:
FreeTestosterone
and
FreeEstrodial

both are bounded by the same
SHBG

The higher the SHBG the more of both you have to have to feel right.

SHBG is 36 nmol/L ref (13 - 71).

Yes this sounds like it is to high for you. When I am above 30 I get a rash on my head, legs and chest. Women going through the change have very high E2 levels starting out and it can go on for yrs. The tingling in the toungue sounds like it's high one guy gets a bad taste in his mouth.

it is bad that we do not know of similar chart for Estrodial.
But anyhow, I would say that with this SHBG level your E2 should also be close to higher range.

Phil i had the tingling on my tounge, however Dr M said this is related to hypothyroidism (if i recall correct). The main reason men suffer from "high E2" must be related to to the down regulation of thyroid hormone (or fighting for receptor cells).

I know they effect each other but how I don't even think the Dr.'s know all this stuff with E2 in men is very new not much testing done on it.

I'm 44 and been on clomid (50mg eod) for the last 2 years - had blood work recently and saw:

Total T - 785
Free T - 120 or 1.5%
PSA - .8
FSH - 7.3
LH - 4.9
SHBG - 53
Estrodial - 27

I thought my SHBG was normal high and my Free T is low? Any thoughts on what next? For me...I feel 'off' and in a 'fog', Fill like sleeping 10+ hours per day....

First if you feel this way get off clomid slow start doing T shots 100mgs a week you can't test Estradiol on Clomid you don't get a ture reading. Also your SHBG is very high keeping your Free T down still it's hard to tell when doing Clomid.

I feel much better doing my T shots every 3 days and HCG the 2 days each inbetween. You could look into doing this. For all you know your estradiol can be very high you need to be off Clomid a good 4 weeks before testing E2.
