Swale, My PDR recommends for hypogonadism: hCG 4000 IU injected three times per week for a total of 12,000 IU/week. If hCG is toxic to leydig cells, why would one inject that much? Because in theory then, you can make the patient worse off. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Dustin |

It amazes me how wrong the dosing recommendations are for HCG. AND how many doctors use it in these incorrect ways. NEVER take more than 500IU of HCG per day. 250IU, every day, is quite a powerful dose. Yes, taking more than that is bad for the Leydig cells. You then are inducing primary hypogonadism while treating secondary hypogonadism. |
