I imagine people have seen this article before, since it was published in 2004, but I thought it was interesting for the findings that with the daily application of
AndroGel (5-10g/day) that estradiol (E2) continued rising for 2 years(!) in the study (this is presumably with no E2 management), and
DHT continued rising for 6 months. So on the one hand your results with a transdermal T preparation might initially be good and then deteriorate after many months unless you stay on top of the E2. And on the other hand it might take you several months to obtain good results if your needing to get your
DHT higher and only relying on conversion of the T in the transdermal to obtain that extra
DHT.
