Is it common for those with ADD/ADHD to have difficulty in certain social environments,such as weddings or other large gatherings? a loud bar/nightclub ect..... i know this may sound like an off the wall question but its serious as it affects me and i have ADHD.        |

difficulty carrying a conversation. i think all the loud noise distracts me.i'm sure it distracts everyone but with adhd,it is worse. i just do not feel myself,its hard to communicate,whereas i am fine in other settings. i did hear that those suffering from adhd can have difficulty with other people/social ect.... |

I have add and hate large social gatherings. I just feel tense and have trouble communicating and interacting with others. I'm more sociable on ritalin but have never tried it in a party situation. I usally take a klonopin to reduce the anxiety.
