Needle Length for IM

I picked up some 1ml 25g syringes for my IM T injections instead of the 3ml ones. I've noticed that dosing on the 3ml isn't that easy, so I wanted to give the 1ml a try. Only problem is the needle length is 5/8" where I'm used to 1". Does anyone see a problem with using these on the quads if I have virtually no fat on them? I mean, I can see veins and everything.

If your lean it should be ok. Make sure to leave some of the needle showing in case it breaks for some reason so you can get it out.

It virtually never happens....if it's only 5/8" long, I'd be sure to jam it in as far as you can.

I have the same Syringes. I think your one probably is also a slip tip, where the needle slips on, and not screws on. Buy some 23G 1" (25G 1" would be better), and just replace the 5/8" needle that comes with the syringe. I draw and shoot with the same needle.

I see no difference using 27g 1ml x 1/2 lg. for T shots in the thy I drive the needle in all the way. Hell I am over weight but my legs have no fat on them.
Yesterday I used a 25g 3ml x 1" lg and my dam leg hurts today. Going back to the 27g needle it takes some time to get the depo out but it works good for me but I am doing 60 some mgs. every 3 days so not a big 150 mg. shot.

Thanks PM. I went ahead and did my shot today with the 25g 3ml 1". It would seem to me that a 5/8" needle would work just find, though.

I use 1.5" for glute (best place by far), and 1.0" for legs, delts.
I hate leg shots, man I am a bleeder and I not only bleed all over the place I get kindof a dead leg the next day.
