What does your Dr. say about your T levels to me for your age your low and your new Estradiol test is low. I feel this happens when you T levels are low. I think you would feel better if you went on T meds.

Well these last results are from LEF so my doc. hasnt seen them. He actuall gave me a script for androgel a few months ago when I last saw him, although I have not used it yet. I really want to make sure I need something before I start.

With a T level of 366 your levels are normal for a man 100 yrs. old if you have done all the testing and can't find out why then you need to go on the Androgel. This only thing that would be holding me back would be trying to find out why I was low. If you go on TRT and have not ruled out everything it is dam hard to find out once on TRT.

rrcat,

Your Free T level is very normal, and Free T is what counts.

What screams out from your labs is possible adrenal problems indicated by low DHEA and pretty low blood cortisol (saliva is much better). If you have low blood pressure and crave sweet or salty foods, then there is a good chance you have adrenal problems. Anxiety and inability to handle stress is a major symptom of adrenal fatigue. Go to your local bookstore and check out the book "Adrenal Fatigue: The 21st Century stress syndrome" by Dr. James Wilson. There is an excellent questionnaire in the book that will determine whether you have Adrenal Fatigue or not, and is just as reliable as any labs. Also check out the Adrenal sticky at the top.

I have read where starting trt usually causes a drop in cortisol. Do you guys know what ,if anything, dhea does? So if someone started trt and also had low levels of dhea, would the dhea go up any.

I am saying this b/c I am not sure adrenal fatigue is my main problem. I have tried dhea before and never really noticed a difference, and also i live that clean lifestyle regarding the link you gave me pmgamer18. So bascially, would trt fix the dhea promblem.thanks

TRT will not fix your low DHEA. DHEA does not absorb well unless it is taken with food and oil. I take 25mg DHEA after breakfast with about 2 teaspoons olive oil. I definitely feel the DHEA working. DHEA has been the single most beneficial supplement I have taken for Adrenal Fatigue symptoms, providing more energy and blood sugar control (alleviating hypoglycemia).
