Hey i got some labs back today TT 643 250-1100 ng/dl FT percent 2.51 1.10-2.80% FT 161.4 35.0-155.0 DHEA 223 180-1250 ng/dl cortisol AM 19.5 4.0-22.2 mcg/dl Estradiol 33 13-54 pg/ml TSH 1.91 0.40-5.50 mIU/ml Fsh 0.7 1.6-8.0 mIU/ml LH 0.2 1.5-9.3 mIU/ml IGF-I 348 126-382 ng/ml prolactin 13.2 2.0-18.0 ng/ml t-4 7.7 4.5-12.5 mcg/dl My CBC, Urinalysis, Lipids and the rest came back all in range. I'm on 100mg of Test C EW. Seems as tho i have adrenal fatuige. Why would my Free test be high if my TT is still only 643 should i be on a higher dose of Test C to bring up my TT? |

You may not even need testosterone. When testing do it at Quest Diagnostics; Check and adjust in this order adrenals thyroid glucose/insulin pituitary gonads ================================== But speaking of testosterone, do test at Quest (Free BioAvailable and Total Testosterone) if you short on any: add HCG100IU/day, and enough testosterone so either Free or BioAvailable is at the top range but not over it. Let the other fall where it wants. ================================== |

How do you know your thyroid is in range? All I see is a TSH, which by the way is a pituitary hormone, NOT a thyroid hormone. You need Free T3 AND Free T4 to get an accurate picture of thyroid condition. For adrenals, you need more tests. An ACTH Stim test measures how well your adrenals perform under stress. Many think this would reveal adrenal conditions. At 19 for an AM cortisol, this looks to be low. Normal for men in the morning should at least be in the upper twenties, if not the lower 30's. The ranges are flawed and taken from sick people who DON'T respond well to stress. I would check out the Stop the Thyroid Madness forum in both the Adrenal, Hypopituitary, and General Thyroid Sections. Just google it. Good luck. Last edited by SPE; 05-08-2007 at 10:33 PM. |
