Hi guys,
I'm a college student currently being treated for hypogonadism with
testosterone injections weekly (100 mg). My hypogonadism is a result of anorexia, from which I am currently recovering, and I'm at a healthy weight, etc. My question is this: like I said, I'm in college, and there was a want ad in our newspaper today for sperm donors. Clearly this is an ideal "job" for a college student, and I could really use the extra money right now. Prior to starting TRT I had virtually no sex drive (although before the hypogonadism everything was fine - no problems) and since starting TRT it has improved somewhat, although not totally, but I'm on zoloft as well which may be contributing to my semi-low sex drive. Anyways, that's not really my question, my question is this - would I still be able to donate at the sperm bank in my current situation? The reason I ask is because I know that guys on TRT are sometimes unable to concieve - but I've never worried about this or even looked into it since I'm not looking to start a family in the near future. So I guess I'm wondering if there's any way to tell if I'm "fertile" right now - or is my best bet just to go in and get tested and see what they say? Thanks in advance.
Luke
