Default Question about my Estradiol test

I asked my Urologist if he would run an estradiol test the other day, and he had no problem with that. I even specified the sensitive essay for males. I got my results and they where 21 with a range of <56 pg/ml.

I’m currently using 100mg T Cyp. a week.

I had originally had some “nipple issues” but they have subsided. Probably from the hormone change.

Is this an acceptable range for someone on TRT?

That's probably perfect. Any lower could be bad. I would say you're doing fine. However, if it's been a while since you started TRT you may want to get it rechecked in a couple of months just to be on the safe side.

I agree with WL: according to my doc, the optimal point is around 27 pg/ml.

Thanks for the reply's guys.

Just out of curiosity what are the symptoms of low estradiol. I don't take anything to lower it. What is to low and if it gets to low how do I raise it if needed?

I no expert on low E2. Pmgamer has described the symptoms more than once in this forum. Do an advance search on "pmgamer" and "e2", and you will find his posts.

I had a full hormone check a while back. Mine was 28 and I had been "off" for 1.5 years. Test was 556

Doesn't sound like they actually ran the 'sensitive' estradiol test. This might have been the lab techs mistake. I have to tell the lab tech directly that there are two tests and tell them which one I need or they'll run the wrong one. Same thing with testotserone; the labs techs seem to believe that 'free serum tesotsterone' is 'total testosterone.' Damn LabCorp labtechs.
