A comment in another thread has prompted a question for me. I am 30 years old, no HRT at this point, but I have an appt next week. At this age, how long should it take me to recover from an orgasm to be able to orgasm again? For example, if I have sex on Monday, I probably wouldn't be able to have sex with an orgasm again until Wednesday. If I were to masturbate on say, Wednesday, I probably wouldn't be able to have sex again until Friday. Maybe it is not quite that consistent, but somewhat close to that. I also sometimes, even at that same type of regularity, don't reach orgasm when I have sex or masturbate. And I turn into a limp biscuit. I'm curious as to whether this sounds "normal" or not. Thank you. |

I don't think at age 30 it is normal to have a refractory period of 2 days. One thing is (as we age) we might not have the urge for sex on a daily basis, but if you're actively trying whether it be masterbation or not, then I would expect things to work at least once per day. But as you can tell from this forum, even with HRT, libido is a tricky thing. Post your levels including Total E's and E2 and the more experienced guys on this forum will surely point u in the right direction. -- Normandy |

Problem for sure. But the TRT thing is beyond tricky in my opinion. I have tried shots, gel, hcg, and now recently arimidex.....but still cant seem to get things consitantly good (i.e. sexual func). Everything else is awesome, and I just recently added arimidex. Things were going smooth, sexual func improved with the adex, until perhaps the dose was too high and suddenly without warning:-/ had problems with ED. So back to square one I guess, but I am begining to think that things will never get right.

Novice, since you were manipulating estrogen w/ arimidex, did you at least try Phil's approach? (using morning wood as a relative indicator) Because it seems that the window of opportunity with estrogens is narrow, and you run the risk of either lowering it too much or not enough if ur not monitoring it constantly. -- Normandy |

I will tell you something that is damn wierd about morning wood w/me. I am not saying Phils approach is not correct. It surely means something but in my case I am not sure what. If I am on HCG you would think tht things would be going well and I would have wood on a fairly regular basis as long as I am not primary. The funny thing is that when I come off of HCG I get morning wood. HCG does not raise my T levels although I feel something when I am on it. I can get a woody when on HCG and keep it up longer than with out but when I go off of it the very next morning I wake up w/a woody. My E2 is in check as well so that is not it either. Just goes to show how fickle the human body is. Paul |
