Hi SWALE/everyone: What are the optimal ranges for the total estrogens test from Quest Diagnostics, which ranges < 130 pg/ml? Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Roberto Last edited by robertin75; 07-06-2005 at 07:01 PM. |

I've heard that it is best to keep it in the lower 2/3rds of the range.

Since James is right and Total Estrogen has to be kept on the lower 2/3's of the range, then how can one do that. Will Dim and TMG lower Total Estrogens to the desired range, or does the Total Estrogens stay the same except that most of it becomes good estrogens and not the harmful ones. If one has mostly good estrogens and the Total estrogens is high, will this still lead to gyno? My Total estrogen is currently 198 range <130. I found this post where the poster said that using i3c reduced his Total Estrogen. http://forum.mesomorphosis.com/showp...4&postcount=15 Last edited by 1cc; 07-09-2005 at 04:26 AM. |

I mean would LIKE to see it there. In reality, TE seems to have a mind of its own. I am seeing too many guys whose E2 is perfect, yet TE's elevated. Like the perfect football defense that bends--but does not break--in that case, I endeavor to manipulate estrogen metabolites to favor the healthful/protective ones over those which are not.

Let's assume you've already manipulated estrogen metabolites to favor the healthful/protective ones, yet a guys Total Estrogens is still high. Will this eventually cause gyno? Does using DIM and TMG reduce Total Estrogens as was mentioned in the post I referenced above? |

The simple fact is I do not know. But everything in life--from politics to medicine--is a balancing act. At this time, this is the best compromise I have been able to come up with.
