Hi This is my first post on this forum I am suffering from secondary hypogonadism due to overtraining and inadequate nutrition. Before 4-5 months I've noticed that my libido is very low and that my ejaculatory volume have decreassed. I did some lab researches and it came out that my LH and FSH was very low and my Test was around 8,7pmol/L(250ng/dl). After that I returned to normal diet and I've reduced my training for almost a double. Since than my situation have improved very well(ejaculatory volume improved gradualy) but my libido is still very low. I was wondering do you know if this kind of hypogonadism is reversible? Is there anybody on this forum who was in the same situation like I was, and have recovered fully? Please don't mind my bad english, and I forget to say that I'm 21 years old. I'm hoping to see some answers and advices Thanks in advance |

Overtraining is not good. It can and does happen. You should always take a few weeks break after a couple months of training. Make sure you're eating your healthy fats as well. If the reduction in training has helped, then that's that.

From what I hear it is reversible. Try to adjust your diet and training scheme. I trust you are now under the guidance of a specialist?? A lot of doctors that train professional athletes will be able to give you some sound advice. The best thing to do is to wait and see. Don't try to add some testosterone because that will not speed up your recovery process. The only thing you "might" want to try is to try some HCG to stimulate your natural LH production, but I would not recommend to try it asap. Sit it out 2 or three months and see how your body reacted to a different lifestyle before you start messing with dangerous medication. If I could avoid this medication by "sitting it out" for three months, I would certainly do it! I have been hypogonadal all my life...irreversible. |

fats are important for diets. you should get in at least 0.5grams per lbs of LBM. Get good fats in you, but remember that saturated fats are needed in small amounts as well.
