Default Questions about TRT for someone in 20's

Ok, i originally wrote in the steroid section but i think i belong here. Ok i am in my early 20's and am on TRT because of low test levels cause by a pain medication i take. The pain med is an opiate and i am definetly addicted to it, i am starting a taper with it and should be completely done with it by the end of summer. However, until then it will be driving my testosterone levels lower. My doctor knows i am into bodybuilding and was really into coming to a decision about what to do. He originally prescribed androgel but i really didnt like that, so he put me on test cypionate at 200mg a week. I know this is a high dosage.

I meet with him once a month because of how expensive he is. But i want to learn as much as possible about my situation. I orginally was going to try an up my dose to 400mg a week for a bodybuilding point of view. I now realize that would not be wise. However this is my first week and i have taken 400mg. I will definetly not do this again and only do what i was prescribed. I have alot of questions though.

How long should a treatment like this last at 200mg per week?

Do i fall into a different category because medication is doing this? My test levels would be fine if i wasnt on the pain meds.

Will i gain significant muscle mass on this treatment?

Should i be using nolvadex, Hcg or clomid?

How do you run something like this? is it done in cycles like most do for body building or is it more long term?

If i chose to run it for 4 months opposed to longer what could be the effects?

I could go on forever with questions. I am reading as much as i can on this site and others. Thanks for your help!Que

First thing cut back to 100mgs a week if you stay on 200mgs your going to have health problems Estradiol will go way up this will kill your sex life and turn your body into mush. You can do TRT for a time but it's going to shut you down your brain is goning to stop sending the messages to your test to make more T. What were your tests results did your Dr. check your LH and FSH. I would do 100mgs a week and add 250 IU's of HCG to the 5th and 6th days each after your T shot to keep your testis working. When your off the pain med you will need to stop TRT and wait for your body to start making T again. Go to www.allthingsmale.com and read TRT: A Recipe for Success and the HCG update.

I should still have great results with excercise and muscle mass during this time at 100mg right? If i stayed using the 200mg per week it would definetly shut down my test?

The thing about this whole treatment is that i would not need it at all if it wasnt for the pain meds. Does this put me into a whole different category for TRT?

Here is my uneducated view of this,

I take 200mg per week until around the beginning or middle of summer.

I start right now tapering my pain meds, trying to get the amount i am using as low as possible before my quit date which will be towards the end of summer.

During the beginning of summer i start tapering the testosterone dosage down to 150mg per week , and then move to 100mh and so on.and continue a taper until i quit using the pain meds.

I am pretty confident my natural test levels will come back after a few months of being off the pain medication.

I get confused about stopping the TRT at the same time as my pain medication because the pain meds will put me into extreme withdrawel. If i started using Nolvadex and clomid at this time, i have heard depression may become a problem and if i am entering withdrawel from the pain medication it would not be a good mix.

like i said that is just my idea of what could work. But i am new to this so i need all the advice possible. Thanks Again!
