The abuse I am speaking of is unfortunately not
AAS...it is methamphetamine. Fortunately it was a mostly a recreational habit that did not include too many episodes of true "tweaking" or long runs lasting a week at a time...truth be told there were a few 4 day runs however. The habit lasted two years.. Extremely fortunately I realized the damage being done to myself and those I love which is why I am doing my absolute best to stop...been sober a month now.
Also, fortunately I dealt with very clean product. None of the excess acid left on the crystals or azirdines, ido-ehedrines or flat unreacted pseudo. However, from the govts war against tweakers I am sure I suffered some effects from the methacrylic polymers, polyampholyte polymers and variety or non ionic surfactants aimed at preventing reduction of pseudo to meth.
I know I suffered from adrenal failure, some very strange thinking and a lot of paranoia and no doubt messed up my share of neurotransmitters. Physical effects did not reach terrible points...blood pressure is still good, teeth still intact, cholesterol good, etc.
My question is what kind of damage might I have done to those neurotransmitters and is there anything I can now do to help heal those situations.
I already know, and freely admit...I was an idiot. I would tell anyone never start...still if you feel like giving me a shot go ahead, I deserve it. The fun is intense for a while...the negatives kind of sneak up on you.
It did get me thinking however...are there foods that are really terrible for you? I sure feel like sugar jacks those neurons around and was wondering if anything else had the same effect? It could be time to do the right things and find out how good life can be the natural way.
And in spite of the name I never signed that contract with ol Scratch.
