Default Reducing Total Estrogens without lowering E2?

Hi,

I have been struggling with very low FT for about a year now. Before I started TRT my TT test levels were high and E2 was normal. My doc decided to put me on TRT to see what happened. My symtoms have got worse. my FT has gone down to 48nmol/l (49-150) but TT has gone up:
25nmol/l (9-22). However my E2 is normal 95nmol/l (45-169) (about 26pg/ml)

On SWALES advice I have had E1 and E3 measured. Am still waiting for results as they will take a while. I am guessing though that E1 will be high or very high. Problem being, I have tried small doses of femera before (0.5mg/d) and have felt even worse (test show that E2 dropped to 19nmol/l). I have read elsewhere on the board that sometimes aromatose inhibitors are lowering E2 and infact raising Total estrogens.

When i get the test results back i will post them, but if E1 is very high, what can i do, since E2 is pretty much perfect? Aromatose inhibitors may infact make my symtoms worse. I am taking very small dose of test - half of 5g androgel satchet/day.

I think the only thing that converts E2 to E's is DIM or 13C a link.

Are you saying your TT is over the top of the range using 2.5 g's of androgel wow. So your TT is 721 ng/dl I don't think this is possable it could be a bad blood test.
http://www.get-back-on-track.com/en/tools/umrechner.php
But when I found out my E2 was high my FT was always in the low normal range getting my E2 down on Arimidex brought my FT up over the top of the normal range. So for what it is worth I would redo all of the tests.

I couldn't make much of that, but do you mean that taking DIM will take convert E2 to E? if thats that case taking DIM may well make my problem worse.

Yeah you said before about you FT going up after you got your E2 under control. I have had E2 tested many times, no doctors where i am an find out why my FT will not go up. The more test i get the lower FT goes.

BTW, when i had the tests i was taking one satchet per day. I have since reduced to half per day and feel slightly better. I had tried shots but felt abslutely terrible

Pretty sure They are using the 'sensitive assay' for E2. Regardless of that, i have tried so many different doses of DIM and/or femera (dont have arimidex) and i have never felt any better at any time.

You said previously: I think the only thing that converts E2 to E's is DIM or 13C a link.

Does that mean that possibly taking DIM will make my prob worse?

Yes unless your taking TMG with it.

I did dam good on DIM and TMG until I started doing HCG then the DIM starting working against the HCG it took me months to figure this out. I feel much better stoping the DIM and TMG. All I do is Arimidex now and it seams to be keeping my E2 and total E down.
Here is a chart on how DIM works.

Yeah, T3 and T4 are on the low side. Adrenal (i am assuming cortisol) was a bit high, but now much reduced using dilantin. nothing has got better since this.

You may want to look into I-3-C and TMG, to reduce total E.

These compounds are known to reduce total E, but not E2?
