Ok, so I did a 4 panel, 24hr cortisol test. While I dont have the numbers yet, it went a little like this: Morning (8AM): High cortisol Afternoon (12 noon): Low cortisol Post-Lunch (5PM): High cortisol Bedtime (10PM): Low cortisol What in the hell is going on? Any ideas? The only uber-crazy idea I have for this is that somehow someway my cortisol is spiking according to the time-release pattern of the Concerta I took for a total of about 8 years. The methylphenidate (Ritalin) time release profile matches the cortisol spikes somewhat. But thats bat shit crazy. My entire health profile (with 57 labs) and current supplementation history can be found here. |

Your levels are still in low normal range but they go up and down through out the day. If you were taking thyroid that would explain it but you are not. All labs have been ordered and are on there way. Should be there by end of this week. Looking into possible other areas that have been over looked. We are still gathering data and the rhiens and further nutritional testing should shed some light on things as we anticipated. We are seeing a reoccurring pattern in adrenal fatigue people in there testing results so this is good news plus dr O just finished up a seminar on just adrenal fatigue..What perfect timing !!

We just try to look for the root cause and to correct your lifestyle, nutritional imbalances while supporting your hormones if need be. We just keep it simple as can be and do things in layer. Balance out adrenals while supporting thyroid and testosterone if need be while back filling the holes with improper nutritional imbalances. That is basically our approach. WE treat the person not the symptoms |
