hey guys just had sememn analysis.

i got the results over the phone, and the woman said she found 3 motile sperm in th chamber. i was kinda relieved because i thought that although 3 sperm is miniscule, at least i can bank those three sperm and possibly have kids in the future.

then she said that those 3 gave me a sperm count of 3 million.

i was bolled over. i was like what are you talking about i thought i only had 3 sperm total, and she said that 3 sperm in the chamber corresponds to a count of 3 million.

i dont really understand. does this sound familliar, is this how they usually measure sperm, using one chamber to represent the entire count.

the only reason i ask is that i went from infertile (o sperm) to supposeldy 3 million sperm per mil in only 7 months.

i was delighted but hesitant to believe her. it wouldnt surprese me if she happened to get lucky and just somehow managed to find the only 3 sperm in my sample. I mean they centriufuge the sperm and all, so isnt it possible she managed to find the only 3 sperm ect

is this way of measuring sperm the norm. it just feels to good to be true.

Sperm are measured in the millions. If you only have three sperm they never would have found them and you would have been given a count of zero.

Get any bloodwork done lately?

Can I ask why are you banking your sperm? Does it cost you an upfront fee and a yearly storage fee?

either way my count has gone from 0 to 3 mil due to varicocele embolization.

ps in uk if you live in a lucky area, pretty random which area though, your local health authority pays for banking

I don't even put my money in the bank, yet alone my "baby juice." LOL

The only thing I plan on banking, is cord blood.
