Default Shock treatment to treat secondary hypogonadism?

I wonder if anyone has ever been diagnosed with low T from secondary, had a session of ECT (shock treatment) and seen their T levels go up a lot. I read that ECT affects everything, across the board centrally. It increases dopamine, serotonin, norephinephrine, GABA, all hormones basically, including thyroid, LH and others. Its also supposed to improve sleep, which I would suspect would improve secondary low T.

That would be an interesting study...take a group of guys with central hypogonadism, from whatever cause, give them a session (voluntary of course) of shock treatment and test them for hormone levels pre and post ECT.

Okay Jinx, hopefully you're kidding. If not, good for you dude!

On the question of ECT? Very interesting. Perhaps headdoc could shed more light on this. If you're looking for ECT volunteers, however, don't look at me.

Dude, I am strictly an inside man. I don't work from the outside in.

good luck finding volunteers using ECT for HRT. Since we use the medicines daily or weekly, we'd have to get shocks pretty often. After a while, the amnesia would be significant.
