Default Skin + Testosterone?

One of the first thing's i noticed when my testosterone level dropped was my skin looking less young/healthy. I noticed alot more "pot holes" and the skin and also noticed that my skin was "thinning" on part's of my body. I also noticed my skin looked alot "redder" in places than before.

Before this i always looked very young with a pale complextion before all of this but i had good skin with no problems.

I noticed this skin thinning on elbows, knees, scrotum and foreskin. I noticed my foreskin "thinned" alot and looked less healthy (or the same as my natural skin color at least). This made it look less "moist" and elastic like before.

When starting on TRT i think thing's improved a little but not much. Part of me think's it made it worse infact (raising DHT/E2 maybe).

Is it possible to reverse these changes? Has anyone on the board went from having bad skin to good skin? I am going in for surgery on monday to fix a varicocele which should in turn give me higher testosterone levels (or at least back to normal levels) i hope some of these skin changes can be reversed and i can truelly feel "young" again.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced similar problems or if it's possible to reverse these changes? I know that for women's HRT one of the changes is better skin so i guess the same should apply to men with higher testosterone levels?

My skin got very thin on the hands and dry and cracking/bloody at the elbows.
Testosterone may have helped some, but Thyroid helped more.
HGH has made the greatest change in my skin, it is quite amazing, the skin on my hands has improved to the point that they are no longer thin and look healthy.
Almost all my wrinkles around my eyes are gone and overall my skin has improved all over my body.
My wife has seen skin tags fall off, wrinkles gone, skin clear up on HGH.

Would get a test for IGF-1 to see if you might need HGH.

I agree. The skin changes seem more related to HGH. However, testosterone did help to return some oils to my skin. In one of my baselines before starting TRT, my skin was very dry and seemed to correlate to low test.

Thanks for the replies guy's.

My thyroid is still in range at 1.7 (TSH). I will get IGF-1 Checked in my next blood report.

I am confident this is related to low testosterone. I wonder if getting testosterone alone back up would help?

For your Thyroid TSH is not all you need tested do Free T4 and Free T3 if you can't get this tested take your morning temp before getting out of bed under your amr keep still put the gauge under your arm and keep it there for 10 min.'s if your temp is under 97.8 your low. Do this for 4 days and then take an avg.
