Default Somewhat of a newbie question

Hey everyone,
I've posted a couple times about my situation; I have nutritionally-related hypogonadism so my circumstances are a little different than those of you who are treating age-related testosterone declines. I've been doing some research and reading, and I've come across some information on clomid. Someone linked me to a study that showed clomid was successful in restarting the body's natural testosterone production in bodybuilders who were experiencing hypogonadism as a result of steroid use. I guess my question is, would clomid be helpful in my situation? My test. production has shut down because of an eating disorder, not because of steroids, but it seems that it would work the same way. Or am I misunderstanding something and clomid is not really used for this purpose?

Also, I have one more quick question - my thyroid levels are on the very low end of the normal range and I have some symptoms that may or may not be associated with thyroid function. Is there anything to worry about in terms of side effects with thyroid supplementation? From what I can find online it seems extremely safe and the only "danger" is possibly having to take thyroid pills for the rest of my life. Is there anything I'm missing?

Thanks very much for the help,
Luke

No, not really. I have been on androderm patches for a few months now which don't seem to be doing the job so I am going to be transitioning to injections in the next week or two. I'm hopeful that this will do the job, I'm just looking into other things that might be helpful.

I don't think there's much danger in a trial of thyroid hormone. I was in the same situation as you. TSH was 2.4, T3 was at the low end of the normal range, low basal body temps, other symptoms that could have been hypothyroidism. My doc suggested a trial of Armour thyroid. I started on 1/4 gr. At first, I felt terrific, but after a couple of weeks I started having unpleasant sides. I figured if a tiny dose like that was causing sides, I probably didn't need it very badly. The doc thought I should stay with it, but I decided I was done with it. But that's just me. Armour thyroid has done a lot for some people.
