Not long ago (month or so) one poor sucker mention his spine surgery and follow up life in the gym. I cannot locate the post or his name. Original poster please respond or somebody please help in locating this post. I need to find out as much as I can about this type of surgery, my back hurts and I may need this type of help. One or two of my discks in that area are rather thin (not bulging). Thank you. |

Not me... but I have Spinal Stenosis, short pedicles, 2 bulging discs (L4-L5, L5-S1), torn disc (L5-s1). They wanted to operate but I saw a chiropractor for 20 visits and though I am sure I am not cured, I have essentially no pain. On occassion, if working at a certain angle, moving boxes etc, I will get pain. i can squat 320 on the squat machine so I am not in that bad a shape backwise anymore |

There are many informative medical programs on UCTV and UWTV dealing with spine problems. Dishnetwork caries these channels. Discectomy with fusion is the surgical solution and not a great success rate. In mild cases like yours i wouldnt evenconsieder it. There are new treatment on the horizon including disc replace ment witha gel that is shot into the inter disc space and takes the place of your natural disc. much less invasive.

They come with specialist diagnosis who read those. I am about 35 miles from NYC. There is a hospital for special surgery there. http://www.hss.edu/physician-referral-service.asp I have no clue if they are any good, but the name sounds right. Plan to talk to them. Any comments, suggestions? |

How much if you don't mind me asking |

Invertrac should work with consistent use. The intervertebral disc distraction machines are more sophisticated and easier to use especially for someone with hypertension. The catch is they cost upward of $300,000 and a series of treatments cost several thousand which may be covered by insurance.

one unit-$285 2 units- 275 3 nad more-$259 they sell only to doctors. My doc said that for whatewer reason they charged him $295 rather than advertised $285, that is my cost. Hi and his two sons are lifting weights, they have similar machine in their gym. |

http://www.invertrac.com/ twice daily for 5-7 minutes each time. At first it helps, but sometimes I am not sure if it possibly aggravates. My blood pressure 107/76, pulse 72 Wish I could get into better shape and lower the pulse. |
