Sublingual Testosterone ?

I have new baseline and new Dr. Will be retested in 3 weeks.

Have any of you guys ever used Sublingual Test?
I was prescribed 75 mg Troche twice daily. The troche's were componded at Medaus Pharmacy.

I have done injections and creams but never this, I will post results when I recieve them.

At this point no HCG or Armidex waiting to get labs first.

The oral mucosa is a good way to get meds into the blood stream, with the sub lingual venous system very strong. However, what is not absorbed is going to be lost I would think with gastric breakdown and first pass degredation. I don't see an advantage over trnasdermal unless there is a lot of chance for cross dosing.

Yeah, I was wondering how much of that 150mg's a day I will actually get. He says from past labs and patients the that Estrogen and DHT conversion has been less with Sublingual vs's Creams or Gels.

His favorite method of delivery however is Pellets.

Any other experiences with sublingual? Has anybody seen any studies on conversion amounts of testosterone? Example most people believe the conversion rate on creams to be between 10% to 12 % so a gram a week produce a final yield of 100mg to 120mg a week.

Any info on sublingual, at 75mg twice a day, that is 150mg a day and 1050mg a week
Im wondering what the final yeild most likely is. 5% 10% 15% 20% ???

Obviously my blood test in 3 weeks will tell me alot, but I cant find much info on it out there.

Actually I have heard that conversion is high, but not specifically being tested or compared to trandermals.. The conversion rates for DHT are supposed to be quite high due to 5 ar in saliva and the fast release.

But if your Doc has the comparitive tests to prove it..............

Does it say on the box/bottle what form/ester test being used to compound the troche?
I could comment better if this was known.

It just says testosterone, I believe it is just a testosterone base. I thought ester's were just in injectables?

Anyway, the other comment has me a little concerned about the DHT conversion.
I have had prostate issues in the past. Although my base line DHT was only 27 out of 25-75 range, so some DHT conversion may not be all that bad.

Ok, the reason I ask is I saw two types of sublinguals:

1) a testosterone base: this one gets into your system fast, powerlifters use this preworkout for extra aggression and intesity. Doesn't last long in the system so if using for HRT purposes you would need to take 4-6 times a day to keep test levels even.

2) a testosterone propionate based sublingual: they actually used this in the US back in 1971 as I have an old PDR from back then. This one would be better for HRT purposes as it lasts longer in the system per dose 4-6 hours as opposed to 1-2 hours with the base.

This makes some sense, I will talk to hime about cutting the dose in half and taking it every 3 to 4 hours/ 4 times a day.

This could create less of a potential spike and more even levels through out the day.
