THIS WAS POSTED BY SOMEONE ELSE ON THE BOARD.ever hear of this kind of therapy?

you guys may think i'm crazy. but its worked for me twice.i've been taking test for years and i'm off now for 4 weeks , functioning and fuckin without viagra.done propionate and intermitant hcg the last month before this.my docter done this to me before and i tried it this time and it shocked my system back to fuctioning.he gave me a steriod shot{ glococortiosone}and the methel predisone pack and it shocked me back.i read of the insert for the pack that the pills may help with a unresponsive endocrine system.

Yes in theory this could make sense. I've read in the past the body creates
hormones according to need. The need for cortisone in the body may be more
important than the need to make testosterone. If your adrenal system is
exhausted and you're running low on cortisone the body will concentrate on
producing cortisone. By taking synthentic cortisone the body now senses that
it has more than enough cortisone and will now turn it's attention to producing
other hormones that are low.

Remember that stress causes cortisol to be released. But chronic stress will
eventually cause a shortage of cortisol because the adrenals can only produce
so much before it burns out. I was reading about this in a book called the Yeast Connection. Sometimes low dose cortisone will relieve depression in people who have become low in this hormone. By correcting this imbalance possibly other hormonal imbalances can be corrected.

this was discussed on AR. someone posted that it took his doctor a year to get his adrenals working correctly again after the treatment.

it was myself who posted this on AR, as i wanted as many opinions as possible.i am trying to get more information reference dosage, duration etc from the person who made this quote.
the person who posted how his doctor stated it could take a year to get his adrenals working correctly again was using it for pulmonary problems.he did not specify duration of treatment or dosage.
if i get any info i will post it.

I have used low-dose oral hydrocortisone therapy to treat "adrenal fatigue" in numeorus patients. I also take it myself during times of high stress. It works wonderfully.

I thought you were speaking of restoration of the HPTA.

Please do. I am very curious.

Since hormones of that class seriously inhibit the HPTA, as well as block T at its receptros, it is counter-intuitive to think this strategy would work.

I think he hoping that restoration of the HPTA would be a secondary effect of this treatment. He was wondering if this is possible. I say yea its possible, but I don't think anyone has investigated this angle.

Offtopic: Swale any word on that supplement you took at the A4M conference?
