Default TRT and lack of energy

It seems like I have less energy now than when I started TRT. My sex drive is higher but my energy levels are alot lower the rest of the day. I asked the doctor to call in and estradiol test but he did not think that was necessary. Anyone have some insight for me???

Definitely check Estradiol
E2 ultrasensitive test

Low energy afternoons sounds like possible adrenals problem.
Ask your doc for a script for 5mg Cortef pills for a trial.
For at least a week try
10mg right after you wake up, say 7AM
then 5mg at noon
then 5mg 5PM

if that helps you with your lack of energy, you have found the problem.

Do more carefull investigation.

Any online labs that will do the E2 ultrasensitive tests?? If not can I just do a regular estradiol serum test! When would be the best time to check my levels?

Estradiol: Blood Tests

Estradiol

This test is used to assess hypothalamic and pituitary functions, and to evaluate menopausal status and sexual maturity. In males, it is helpful in the assessment of gynecomastia or feminization syndromes.

#1, thanks for finding source for SensitiveE2 test that does not need script.
I am not knocking it down at all.
---------------------------------------

Right, the LEF E2 test that I posted it is not the same, but many men are using it, ease of availability and lower cost.
If someone is high in E2, that test is probably still sensitive enough.
Then LiquiDex and personal obserwation to figure correct dose of LiquiDex.

The test that you are quoting $190, cost real close to 24 hr urine test from Rheinlabs.com (~$225).

Some people run the whole TRT based on that testing since it covers long list of analytes, T, E2, DHT among them.
E2 results from 24hr urine test are much more reliable since they average existing fluctuations of hormones that cause even UltrasensitiveE2 to give confusing results.

Genova Diagnostics have similar 24hr urine test,
EstroEssence Complete.
-------------------------------------------------
Above mostly do not apply to those who's insurance pays for the testing, but then they do buy their tests online.
