Twice a week shots, is this the future of HRT?

I've seen a lot of threads this week about people taking tshots twice a week? Are we looking at the next big thing in HRT? It seems like a novel idea to me, keeping stable levels and controling e2. But of course this is only speculation on my part.

I read a post that Dr. Shippen is giving him self a shot every 3 days and it is working dam good for him he is the author of the book "The Testosterone Syndrome" and in his book he was down on shots. I am doing this now with my T and doing HCG everyday working good so far.

i thought this would be a good idea also..... if u figure steriod users try to keep there lvls stable so they shoot 2x a week and it keep it fairly stable..... every 3 or 4 days shots seems it would keep e2 and dht more stable and keep teh test curve looking more flatline

When there is a way to mimic the circadain thythms of the body I will consider it. That is IMHO very important to duplicate.

For what it's worth, I asked Dr. Crisler about this and he told me not to do it.

Is that all he said or was he telling you not to do it. I know it is a pain in the ass doing shots a lot.

I'm currently doing two shots a day subq of hcg, first thing in the morning and last thing at night, and it is what you make of it, no big deal, I preload a whole syringe and just change needles so it is pretty quick. Small inconvenience if the protocal works best...... so far so good for me, I'm feeling pretty good and libido is better already.

You mean you use the same syringe for a whole amp of HCG ?
Like same syringe for a month ?
Is that safe to do ?

I think for the most part more regular injections help maintain a more stable concentration. But as we get more regular than a week, the inconvenience and other risks of injecting and spiking T all outweigh the benefits of slightly more stable levels if any. WIth Dr. John's protocol of one injection/week augmented with HCG on the last 2 days (or as appropriate), stable levels are aquired with little inconvenience and less risks. The only concern then is adjusting the testosterone and the HCG to get into a level that is good for you and controlling for E2 if necessary.

Also I would like to mention that using transerdermals with HCG is probably much easier to control and results in stable levels as well.

No, I just preload a 1 cc syringe about half full and use that til it is done, then start with a new one, just change needles every time.

How is splitting T shots going to cause spikes? The whole purpose of splitting is to prevent spiking. Gels are not an option for me & in my opinion, they are far more inconvenient then shooting Cyp 2x a week. I would rather shoot than rub expensive man juice on me any day of the week. I started out on 100mg & it only worked halfway decent initially & then dropped like a bomb & I felt no different then when I started. It only brought up my TT 19 points & FT 1.6 points on the seventh day before my ninth shot. Now I am on 120mg & I said screw that if 100mg once a week did not get me up there then this is going to suck monkey nuts. So I called the nurse to ask the Dr. If I can split it 2x a week & she said he does not care. First week felt like the final 5 weeks of my previous protocol but this second week is much better. I am not 100% & if the Dr. would man up & give me HCG, I think it put me up where I want to be. To bad he is retiring because all the tool doctor’s around can take a flying leap off a short peer. If I ever consulted with Dr. John, I do not think I would go back to a single shot a week again. I still have a tough time though because my test is still not where I feel it should be but it is a little better.

Well, I'm finally starting to feel like I have hit on a success here, and my new protocal is hcg injected twice a day.

I had tried it other ways before and failed, this time with the very small dose injected morning and night I have never felt better. I am really excited about this for a change, it is like a revelation. I will keep posting through the weeks and months, as I am not finished experimenting. I can say this is the best I have felt and best libido I have had in years.
