Default Tyrosine to decrease physical or psychological stress, How does it do it ?

Tyrosine is advertised to help mitigate both physical and psychological stress. Tyrosine is needed for biosynthesis of catecholamines, and those are the fight or flight hormones, so how does it cause one to get calm ?

I don't get it

if you are on the deficit side of the catecholamines, it could theoretically have a calming effect.

It does have a calming effect. I cannot do it now, but I found an explanation for it in one of my books that makes total sense. I'll post it tomorrow.
