I have asthma, allergies, etc. I want a machine kind of like a CPAP but that delivers warm, moist air. Does such a machine exist? I guess it doesn't even need to be pressurized. |

An ultrasonic humidifier right by your bed, maybe? |

Mranak, You can get a heated humidifier added to your CPAP machine, assuming you're on CPAP. You can vary the amount of humidity that it produces. Too much and it condenses in the hose, and drips down your the back of your nasal passages. Here's mine: http://www.respironics.com/product_l...method=display The CPAP itself attaches to the flat black part behind the water resiviour.

No, I don't have a CPAP, although my physician has encouraged me to go to a sleep study. Been avoiding the cost more than anything, I think. Did all of you guys with CPAPs have to do the sleep study thing? thanks for the info earthdog. That heated humidifier looks like a work of beauty in my eyes. Manwhore: Believe me, when the weather turns cold, I want to move further south. |

I guess I was wondering if any physicians prescribed CPAP machines after simply hearing the symptoms and without a sleep study. Maybe even just a trial on a CPAP to see if the symptoms resolve. |
