Every 4 to 6 weeks on the day your going to do your next shot. But do the test first. You need to keep doing this until your stable.

5 weeks later on the day before your next shot.

If you want to get the most accurate results then ask your doctor what he wants. I was afraid my results might have come back high so I asked on this board and followed the 7 day out information like was posted above.

Due to a work crisis, lab tech being sick and a holiday I ended up getting the labs done 10 days from my last inj. At the time I was not on HCG and my labs came back with my test levels 100 points lower then before I started TRT.

The things I learned from this are:
#1 When I wasnt on HCG my test levels will droped quickly during the week.
#2 My own test production was pretty much shut down without HCG after 6wks.
#3 Although I wasnt trying to manipulate the numbers I could see where some people would do that to get the lab results they wanted.

I have been getting my blood tested for 22 yrs. every 4 weeks for yrs. Many different Dr. said the same thing if on creams do the test first then put on the cream and or the gels. If doing a patch do the test first then put on the patch. Doing shots the day of the shot do the blood work first. Once waiting to get the blood drawn they gave me the shot 10 mins before the blood was taking told me it could not spick the test. Well it spicked the hell out of the test. Doing pellets that are to keep you levels up for 4 months in 4 weeks I was at the bottom or my base line test level.

Ok, Thanks. I guess the goal is to try to find the lowest your test. levels go. Do you guys like to have your lowest point in the upper 1/3rd of the range?

Since everyone is different I think much of it goes on how you feel. If you were in the middle of the range and felt good then I would stay there. Increasing your test to high levels has drawbacks. There nothing good about being bloated, bald and having man breasts. When you dont have to be...

Arrow Re: When do you get blood levels checked?

The 1st blood test after starting TRT is typically performed at ~4 weeks. Thereafter, in the 1st year ~every 3 months. Assuming TRT has been without problems and successful starting in the 2nd year every 6 months.
Labs run may diiffer but will include a TT (a free or bioavailable is unnecessary and worthless) and Chemistry 28 ('lytes, bun, glucose, lfts, lipid panel). Other labs may include DHT and E2.

Peace

Mike

This statement is a bit deceiving if on gels your test in 24 is not your low to say it is the longest time you are at this level. Same for shots when you do your first shot ever you will be dam low on the day befoe you next one but if you have been one them and the half life has stacked up you test on the bay before your next shot is near what you level is most of the time. So if you test with in 4 hrs of putting on the gel your getting a high reading so you do less and feel like shit. Same for shots If you test you levels after the shot or the next day your not testing your average so you lower it so your not so high and feel like shit. All of the Dr.'s I have seen said it is not a good idea to go 2,3 or 6 months before a test on TRT there are to many things that can go wrong. One is your blood count two is your estradiol this can drop big time if your taking something to keep it down. So if your to low for a long time it is not good. I have seen a lot of Dr.'s and they don't do the same things from one to the other but they did when it came to testing. If you have diabeties are you going to go a long time to test it if on meds. If one has to pay for there tests then you would try to space out your tests but don't go to long.
