just wondering guys there seems to be lots of posts with people wanting to stop TRT/HRT and restart there natural testosterone...what are the reasons for this? Due to start HRT myself in few weeks and don't know if im making the right decision..my levels are test 10.4 n/mol LH 2.3 FSH 3.0..still have sex drive but strength in gym and depression are poor...low levels caused by steroid use. thanks!

The men that want to stop and try to restart them selfs are shut down from using steroids and there PCT did not work when they come off the steroids and so they ended up on TRT. If your going on TRT for a med. problem you can jump start something that does not work.

thanks for that...had a blood test for HCG and it was negitive..does anybody know what the normal range for HCG in males are?

Why do you want to test for HCG ? HCG is actually made from pregnant womens urine & is used to mimick LH (Which you have tested at 2.3). By mimicking LH - it makes your testies produce testosterone.

Most guys would prefer to restart as opposed to TRT, as alot find that TRT is not perfect, and would prefer to run natural if they can. Guys who have been shut down from steroids have a better chance at restarting, than guys who never had normal levels of Test (as Phil states above).

You need more blood tests to determine why your levels haven't come back up.
Estradiol (if too high could be creating the negative feedback loop of HPTA)
Adrenal & Thyroid tests (If not functioning optimal, could be stopping your recovery)

IMO you would be better of restarting if you can, than beginning on TRT - you may even find things worse on TRT such as no libido, ED etc as you try to balance out all the hormones

it was my endo that wanted to test for HCG..which to be honest i don't think she knows what she's doing..thyroid was within normal range and cortisol normal range.
Brief history
before any steroids were used my test level was 19.4 n/mol, this was 6 years ago..done around 6 coarses altogether nothing more than 500mg test per week..always did 2 weeks of clomid PCT (should have been three weeks with HCG as well). Have tried a few recovery protocals..50mg clomid per week for 4 weeks (increased test to 17 n/mol but crashed back to around 10 n/mol within 3 weeks...tried HCG at 1250 iu 6 shots over 2 weeks plus 20mg nolvedex for three weeks after..currently taking a supplement novedex xt which has increased test to 22.5 n/mol and increased LH to 9.8 (high) FSH 4.5..no increase in sex drive (due to reducing estrogen too much i think..but strength in gym is good and feeling more myself.
was thinking of giving this ago 2500iu HCG 8 shots every other day..clomid 100mg per day for 30 days..nolvedex 20 mg for 45 days...any opinions thanks!

Massive doses of hcg dont appear to be a good idea.

thanks for that..complicated stuff will discuss with my consultant about trying to get my own levels to normal..have tried 1 month of clomid 50 mg per day myself with good results and blood tests to prove but crashed a couple of weeks after...has anybody tried clomid or nolvedex for extended period of time and recovered..is it safe?

Its actually a protocol used by shippen and with great sucess
