Default Why is my free T so low & should I be on TRT

Originally I went to a urologist and had my levels tested
I'm 47 and my main problem is with ED They found
T 389 (170-780)
Free T .69 (.8 - 2.2) (I think this is a % value)
The Urologist gave me Androgel which did not help much
So now I am trying shots.

I though I would get another opinion so I went to se an Endo.
I stoped all TRT suplimentents etc for a month and they retested me
T 481 (170-780)
Free T .87 (.8 -2.2)
E2 37 (20-75)
FSH 6.9 (1.3 -19)
LH 5.6 (1.24-8.6)
Free T4 1.77 (.8 - 1.9)
TSH .8 (0.4 - 4.0)
The Endo says everything is normal and I need no TRT.
He gave me some Viagra which definately helps with erections.
I don't like the viagra however since it also gives me a headache.

It's interesting that the T levels went up. I did have the
2nd test earlier in the morning so maybe that is why.

My main problem is ED, The TRT does increase my libido but
does not consistently help with erections. The other issue
is that my memory isn't what it used to be. I hope that the
TRT may help with that and my body composition.
I also have some hyperthyroid symptoms but probably not
enough to justify treating that.

Thanks

first off, what is your SHBG level? if that is high, then that is probably the reason your free test is low. i would tend to think the injections will increase your free test. i see many guys on the gel exeperience the same problem only to be see better results from the shots.also, what is your cholesterol level? sometimes clooged arteries can cauyse erection problems as well. i suspect you will see better results from the shots. also, make sure that E2 number does'nt go above 40. most docs like to keep it under 35.
equally important is diet and exercise. make sure your diet is low in fats and sugars and do plenty of cardio.

I hate it when I read a man is sent to see an Endo and they take you off meds. I have had this done to me in the last 21 yrs. 7 times by Endo's and all they found out was how sick they made me. Your Total and Free T levels need to be up in the upper 1/3 of your labs range. And your E2 Estradol is high enough to cause ED and make it hard to reach an orgasm. E2 should be between 10 to 30 best at 20. Read this link. front to back.

When I got my E2 down my Free T went way up. Go to Dr. John's site and Read TRT: A Recipe for Success and his HCG Update. Print it out and give it to your Uro and tell him you want to try this treatment. I have had low T for over 21 yrs. I never felt 100% until I got my E2 down and added HCG to my treatment. If your Uro does not want to do this ask if he will work with Dr. John over the phone. If he will Dr. John will have him up to seed on TRT in know Time.

gregxy its called homeostasis...don't think ( my opinion ) you gave yourself enough time to recover...

how long doing trt..how many supplements you have tried..

it takes more than a month..
