WTF is happening here?

Just started testogel and hCG nearly 2 months ago. 50mg/day + hCG 100ui/day.

Got tested after 20 days and Total T was 34 nmol/ (ref: 8-30). This test was done 2-3 hours after applying Testogel and taking hCG meaning it reflects the peak in T.

We desided to cut the hCG down to 150ui every other day and my latest testresults (a week old) was 10.3nmol/l (ref: 8-30). This test however was done before taking testogel and hCG, so it will reprecent my lowest levels.

Does this not mean that testogel is not working, and Im pretty much get my levels up from hCG?

BTW. Does anyone know how long hCG will keep T up, a chart would be great.

You arent taking into consideration the half life of T, which depending upon the particular ester, ranges from a coulple days to a week.

How much testogel on you on 5 grams or 10 if on 5grams this is about right because you did the blood work after putting on the gel. I always got a higher level after putting on the gel. My Dr. told me to stop putting it on before a test I was putting on the gel at about 8:am my Dr. had me come in and do the test at 8am. You need apples to apples here I feel you levels were good how did you feel if you did this test before the gels was on your levels would be a lot lower.

Please read my initial post again.

I was on 5 gram Testogel. I had a T level at 10.3 nmol/l (ref 8-30) BEFORE applying Testogel and taking hCG.

As I read the instructions for Testogel the levels should be pretty constant for 24 hours, so I think 10.3 nmol/l is way to low.

Pharmacokinetics

Absorption: AndroGel® is a hydroalcoholic formulation that dries quickly when applied to the skin surface. The skin serves as a reservoir for the sustained release of testosterone into the systemic circulation. Approximately 10% of the testosterone dose applied on the skin surface from AndroGel® is absorbed into systemic circulation. Therefore, 5 g and 10 g of AndroGel® systemically delivers approximately 5 mg and 10 mg of testosterone, respectively. In a study with 10 g of AndroGel®, all patients showed an increase in serum testosterone within 30 minutes, and eight of nine patients had a serum testosterone concentration within normal range by 4 hours after the initial application. Absorption of testosterone into the blood continues for the entire 24-hour dosing interval. Serum concentrations approximate the steady-state level by the end of the first 24 hours and are at steady state by the second or third day of dosing.

With single daily applications of AndroGel®, follow-up measurements 30, 90 and 180 days after starting treatment have confirmed that serum testosterone concentrations are generally maintained within the eugonadal range. Figure 1 summarizes the 24-hour pharmacokinetic profiles of testosterone for patients maintained on 5 g or 10 g of AndroGel® for 30 days. The average (± SD) daily testosterone concentration produced by AndroGel® 10 g on Day 30 was 792 (± 294) ng/dL and by AndroGel® 5 g 566 (± 262) ng/dL.

When AndroGel® treatment is discontinued after achieving steady state, serum testosterone levels remain in the normal range for 24 to 48 hours but return to their pretreatment levels by the fifth day after the last application.

What I need is a chart of testosterone levels compared to time after a hCG shot.

Felt better for the first few weeks, but then after doing hCG every other day sexdrive disapered and enegy level fell.

I dont think testogel does it for me, so I think Im going to shots now. Starting with 200 or 250mg tomorrow, then 125mg a week.

Im going for a vacation for 8 days sunday, shouldnt I be OK for 9 days with the 200mg shot (dont wanna bring T or hCG with me)?

So you have used daily dose of 50mg testosterone.
Depending on capability of your testis the HCG may or may not result in additional Testosterone production.
I have no experience with Testogel.
I have experience with Androgel.
My testis do not produce testosterone even with HCG stimulation.
50mg testosterone that is with5grams of Androgel is not enough for me.
I ended up with using 10grams of Androgel, that is 100mg/day

Only small amount of testosterone applied to the skin actually gets to the blood stream.
Because I have my granson living with me now, I switched to Tcream.
It is 10x less of it and it fits on my calfs.

So at first I used 100mg/day, that is I applied 1gram of that cream.
My test levels falled to half of previuos level.
I am using 2grams/day of Tcream now

Testosterone vise it is four time the amount of testosterone you are using.
You have to be patient, decide what you want to use then do testing couple of times before you figure out your proper dose.

When testing, use Quest Diagnostics
(Free BioAvailable and Total Testosterone)
have blood drawn in their lab, draw blood always two hours before your usual application time.
You are going to get your 24 hour lowest levels.
Aim at getting at the top range of FreeT or BioAvailableT, let the other fall where it wants.
Do not worry about Total testosterone levels, it is mostly a function of your SHBG.

Hmmm, why do you guys keep showing me charts of androgel/testogels effect on testosterone when Im looking for a chart showing hCG's effect...

Im now on shots btw. If I get as low as 10.3nmol/l on testogel + hCG then I think something is not right.

There is not much out there because HCG is not a used by most Dr.'s for TRT.
