I would like some expert opinions on my situation. I have just turned 19 and was born with undescended testes, both of which were corrected with an operation shortly after birth, however, the left side operation was not successful and consequently i have only been left with my right testicle intact. I went through puberty fairly early (12/13) and have always been big, currently; 6' 3", 210lbs with 15-20% bodyfat. I have had 2 different implants in the left side of my scrotum one at 13 (i think...) and a replacement (correction) at 15. I have been diagnosed with a slight varicocele on my right testicle, this used to cause me trouble (age 15), but has since calmed down and i rarely, if ever, notice this anymore.
I was overweight most of the time through adolescence and even though i have since remedied this with diet and exercise to a degree i still hold a lot of estrogen mediated fat, in my chest, abdomen and 'love handles'. Also, i have a slightly distended abdomen (VAT?) and i don't drink, which i feel may also be due to estrogen. Anyway, to cut a long story short...
Ever since i split up with my last girlfriend i have been feeling down and with a low sex drive, so i went to see a new doctor where i am at the moment and he was most unhelpful to say the least, however he did measure my serum testosterone at 16 nmol/L ( i think this translates to 461 ng/dl), measured at 9:30am and with perfectly clean eating and a resistance training session the night before. I also have problems with PE and suchlike, however im not sure whether this is due to anxiety about body image, performance or the fact i am worried about my genital situation. I put on a barve face, but it really does get me down and distracts me a lot of the time...
Sorry i just wanted to get all my thoughts down... Would you say i have anything to worry about, and what would your reccomendations be?
how has your libido been in the past when things were good between you and your ex,or prior partners?
461ng/dl if accurately converted seems on the low side for your age but you also have to consider you've only one testicle.
stress, anxiety and feeling low(depression) can wreak havoc with a man's sex drive.
When i've been with a few of my ex's things have been good, too good sometimes, but i still feel i am a very anxious and depressive person. I worry a lot about a lot of things... ie: one testicle, body image, penis size and performance... I just need to get over a lot of them.
your maths was good ineedmesomeTRT(could you not have chosen a shorter username)?
i hope someone smarter than me can shed some light for you.
what i would say is having low self esteem and little self confidance makes things seem a lot worse than they really are.
have you ever considered speaking to someone in relation to how you feel, are you on any medication for depression etc?
No, im not on anything at the moment, though i would like to talk to someone really about stuff but i know anyone who i would talk to wouldn't be in the same boat as me... so i wouldn't respect their opinions or suggestions 100%. Ah well, we'll see what others have to say... Thanks!
if i were you avoid anti-depressants as these themselves can cause side effects of their own including negative effect on libido.
i myself was told i suffered from post traumatic stress and sought treatment for it.i found the thing that helped me most was to talk to someone.they do not have the answers and to be honest it was listening to my own inner most thoughts and my perspective of things that made me realise that certain ideas i held were wrong.
addressing the issues you are dwelling on is better than using meds that i fell cloud your mind and don't allow you to think.yes they may make things seem better in the short term but i feel it is not until you overcome or accept your own personal demons that you can move on and enjoy life.
i hope that you get good advice from the members,as at 19 you have your whole life ahead of you.my advice is to speak to your doctor and seek professional help in relation to how you are feeling mentally and emotionally and hopefully others can give input in relation to your physical condition.
Your T levels are a bit low for a guy your age. did you check your sperm count? also, have your estradiol checked along with all the other hormonal tests; ie free test,lh,fsh, dht, cortisol, prolactin, tsh. don't ask for these tests, demand them. he is there to serve you.
a poor body image can lead to depression. concentrate on your strong points and don't compare yourself to other people who look like they have what you think you don't have. you will lose everytime.

my testosterone levels were in that range 400-500 and I am 27. My free test however was 14.3 ref range (12.4-40). I am doing TRT right now with HCG, and things have been pretty good. Definitely an increase in energy levels and confidence. But dont look for it to do anything for erectile func and libido. If anything for me, sexual function has been compromised to some extent since begining replacement therapy.
Maxin gave you some dam good advise. Get more testing done go to www.allthingsmale.com and read TRT: A Recipe for Success and the HCG Update. You need to do a Estradiol Test like this one. http://www.labcorp.com/datasets/labc...o/sr012000.htm
I your Estradiol is high bring it down will bring up your T levels and make you feel more calm. High Estradiol will give you ED and mess up your sex life. You could start on some Zinc/Copper it is good for the testis and helps keep Estiradol down. http://www.myvitanet.com/zincop100cnt.html
Also I do Relaxation 2 x's a day read about it at this link it takes some time to get good at it but when you do you can do it anywhere on a bus in the john at work. Doing this will help you with your low self esteem and feeling of anxiety about body image and performance.
Going on TRT is for life so be sure your read the TRT: and in it are the tests you need done. If you feel doing Relaxation helps do get the book there are 2 you want the first one. http://www.ucop.edu/humres/eap/relaxationrespone.html

This was the first time i ever saw the doctor in question and i did demand estradiol, but he questioned everything and even dismissed my gyno as 'minor' i flipped out at him when i went to pick up my results as he was that lazy...oh, and when i asked him for a copy of my results his response was 'Well, why do you want that?!'...which was when i flipped. His attitude was appaling! I'm going to visit my old doctor in the next week or so, who has been my doc since i was 8. Even though i explained everything to him he was a complete arsehole to me pretty much... almost was in tears at one point and could still fucking kill him if i saw him... (sorry about that). I hopefully will also be seein a psychiatrist when i get back home. I think it's even harder for us in the UK as attitudes are even more behind those in the USA. I just want to be normal and happy...
