i got lab tests and everythings normal besides my thryoid, but the only adrenal test thing i was tested for was cortisol. cortisol: 16.0 ug/dl (6.2-29.9) morning serum. so its in the middle and normal, yet i feel i have all the hypothyroid symptoms and the adrenal fatigue symptoms. T4 was 6.0 on a scale of (5.1-14.1) and progesterone was 1.9 (0.2-1.4) i picked up the book adrenal fatigue and it sounds like me. but if my cortisol is normal, is it impossible to have adrenal fatigue? i have no anger when i need it, no sex drive, and no adrenaline it seems like, even when i really need it. im on Trt too and my test is high and estro is within normal ranges. anyone that knows any ideas, please help. |

At first glance, it looks like you are both. Even with saliva cortisol tests, you should be testing at the top of the reference range. Also keep in mind that you are an individual and not a cortisol detection kit. What if, for whatever reason, your body has a high demand for cortisol? That can be due to differences in you lifestyle, environment, etc.
