Re: Adrenal Fatigue and Wilson's Glandular Extracts
I understand the lifestyle change totally from the panic attacks to forcing yourself until you can barely get out of bed. Depression has become a total sickness industry with doctors. The only reason I was depressed and still am to some extent is because my body is messed up making me a nervous wreck
Was there no surgey options for the damage to your pituitary? I realise this must have been devastating replacing all the things you expect from your body through medication. The most important thing is to feel right. I never used to want to be at home much either and have found myself more and more reclused
Isocort has made a difference to my "wellbeing" so there is hope

Your feeling the way you do about your body being messed up is not dpression it's anger, fear. worry and sad. Yes Dr. use Depression when they can figure out whats wrong. Little do they know how much this mess up ones life. All you need to tell your self about how you feel is you have to right to feel this way.

Phil, i didnt have a clue you went down such a long way with so many health problems. I really feel for you, i have been in a terrible mess for months now, 3 weeks ago i was being ordered by neurologists to start on antidepressants otherwise i would collapse!, today and 1 week or so on adrenal supplements and vitamins i already started feeling a totally different man, i can walk, run and do things that seemed light years away a while ago.
Thats why i want to stress out that you have been of major help to me, your dedication to get your health back and your notes here are one of the reasons i m getting my health back. It is very difficult to explain to people that something is wrong with you when conventional methods of testing show something different, let alone when doctors dont even care about investigating into your health further but brush you off to the closest psychiatrist, not taking into slightest consideration the nature or cause of your problems.

After the auto accident first thing that went wrong was I started losing my balance and in time like 4 months I started falling down. Went from Dr. to Dr. had all kinds of tests told every dam Dr. I hit my head hard in the roof of the car no seat belt law in them days. Dr.'s told me I had Ménière’s disease. Later that yr. I had pneumonia and I lost the feeling and use of my left side of my body. See a brain Dr. he told me I had inflammation of the brain and my Antibodies were keeping the inflammation in check but coming down with pneumonia was to much. He said I was lucky I seen him I could have died my brain was swelling he treated it with some steroides. I was fine in 2 weeks and back to work. But little by little I was becoming more and more fatigued and feeling stressed out unable to sleep and started having panic attacks. I pushed my self until I could not get out of bed. Back to more Dr.'s and they never got it right. I never stoped telling them this stated after a bad auto accident. Here I am on sick leave from work and the dam Dr.'s tell me they can't find anything wrong and told my I am suffering from major Depression so for the next 5 yrs I was all doped up on AD drugs never getting better. Then after all this my BCBS wanted to know why I was not getting better the dam Dr. tells them I don't want to get better I like being depressed will this put me in trouble with my Job and my Wife.
Just when everything was coming down on me a Dr. found me to have low testosterone I still have a copy of the tests. And still they did not get it right he said I had Primary low T. I mean WTF you can now look back at my labs and they were screaming Secondary low T a pituitary probelm.

But for actually treatment go for isocort - I have some on the way now!
Aah, i thought that was a book you were referring to!
I looked at this regime as well, too much vitamin B6, and im on the upper margin, dont wanna overload my self with more. Im trying to pull up my vit b12 now, with some sublingual tablets.
Anyone here knows of any really good book on vitamins and enzymes? As medical as it gets i dont really care, i need it as a reference.

Re: Adrenal Fatigue and Wilson's Glandular Extracts
I think there's only 1 brand of Isocort. Isocort is a trademarked name.
I bought mine here cos they ship to Australia and although shipping price was expensive at $19, it was better than other places Products: IsoCort - The Way Up
Re: Adrenal Fatigue and Wilson's Glandular Extracts
Isocort is a quality product 95% of it is for cortisone no matter what the "suppliment" of extra trace amount says. It is a good job you can get it without a prescription. I want to know since it is "natural" cortisol that isn't hydrocortisone then is this cortisone acetate? I don't see what else it could be
Cortisone Acetate gets a bad rep by Addisonians for having a 30 minute half life and not being as strong as HC but maybe if so this is part of the appeal with taking Isocort to start adrenal support? CA is also made in 25MG tablets and the maintenence dose is 12.5 to 37.5mg. Maybe CA doesn't deserve such a bad rep if you split the pill up through the day like the concept to taking pellets of Isocort at 2.5MG a time
Re: Adrenal Fatigue and Wilson's Glandular Extracts
I dont know what to say, its not even 1 week ive been feeling better and a new problem sprang out.
My left testicle has increased in size and changed in shape, it is somewhat elliptical and is a bit warmer than the right. My scrotum is also a bit heavier and fuller from the left side. I have been using them porcine adrenal/gonadal/hypothalamus extracts and i can certainly say that this increase in size has started a few days ago just after i started using them extracts.
I dont know if this is related directly to the use of them wilsons extracts, i would prefer it were but for the meantime i am a bit shocked because this painless increase in testicle size affecting one of two testicles predominantly is considered a common manifestation of testicular cancer. (god help again).
I just rang up the hospital and am waiting to get through to a urologist to speak to and go there.
Have you ever heard of such a side effect or complication?
