Androgel 10mg and Labs

Just a post to advise the effects of androgel 10mg. I was taking 5mg for some time and then switched to 10mg for about a month and didnt feel as well. Well my doctors appointment was coming up so I want to see where 10mg actually put me at with regards to my Test levels. Well in my own personal experiment I used 10mg for about 7 days prior to my labs. I usually apply gel in the evening before work since I work midnights. Well I had the labs done and here is the results from the start to now!!!!!!

10/2004 prior to any treatment labs showed levels to be 285 total.BW 210
12/2004 100mg cypionate weekly labs showed totals 525. BW 223
Huge amount of water gain and felt bad.

5/2005 5mg daily androgel for past 2 months total test 325 BW 217

9/2005 10mg daily (7 days in a row) 570 total test BW 202 LBS ,And I feel
really good. Im staying on 10mg from here out since 570 isnt really
that high and I dont seem to be having any side effects now.I like
the gel ALOT better than injection for too many reasons to name.

Im woundering though, will my total test levels LIKELY go much higher than they are since before the last blood test I was only on 10mg for about 7 days. Does anyone know if the level will go higher,with more time?????????

Hey Max,

I have been on Androgel for about 2 years now. The total test level will increase but you need to give it about 60-90 days before you see the range increase. Your doctor will probably order a followup blood test to confirm. My doctor told me it takes time for the test buildup to occur as your apply it on a daily basis. You may be one of the lucky ones that can use this method because I have not been able to get my test level higher than a total of 422. With yours in the 500 range after only 7 days you should wind up in the 600-700 range. If you read the documentation, it states that is the "average" range that can be obtained. Everyone is differnet. Mine is an absorption problem and that is why I will be doing shots.

This is not true in the case of Androgel, which delivers a non-ester testosterone which is quickly absorbed and soon metabolized.

Sounds like 10G of the Androgel might be right for you, but you should get another blood test done sometimes to confirm.

First, I am happy you have found the method and dosing that works for you.

T levels will not likely rise, but estrogens may. Make sure to monitor same.

Yes stay on the 10 grams but do get your DHT and E2 Estradion tested. The andorgel drove my DHT and E2 very high. And when I took something to get my E2 down my Total and Free T leves went higher. So keep an eye in it.
