androgel dosages

for those of you on androgel, what dose do you take? What level of testosterone does this dose maintain?

I am 58, primary

I take 7.5 g/ day (= 3, 2.5 g packets/day rubbed on upper arms, shoulders and traps)

my total tesosterone has been holding steady about 650-700 ng/dl. I feel great and my libido is super with hard wood when I want it.

I used to take 10 mg/day, and my total T barely budged (and was still low). Yours is quite good on only 7.5 mg/day. So there is no one answer in terms of how much is needed to maintain a particular level in the bloodstream. Sounds like you're doing well. Do you have any remaining unresponsive symptoms of hypogonadism that Androgel does not appear to be resolving?

still more tired than I should be.. thyroid is fine but I need a nap almost every day (short nap but still need it).

It deems very obvious that there is a tremendous individual variation in the physiologic response to Androgel.

How are your adrenals? Do you take cortisone?

no but had a bloofd panel done again today. My endo thinks because i work out 2 hours/day I "should" be tired. I am not buying that one.

7-8 hrs/night, no snoring so I assume no sleep apnea but am not sure??
