I am a little confused by the percentages and volumes these gels and creams come in. I was on TestoGel (AndroGel in the US) one sachet a day (it say's 50mg gel in sachet) but it also say's it's only "1%". I assume that with the TestoGel i am only getting about 5mg (in total) of testosterone into my system with a single daily application? Anyway because of some reactions i was getting to the testogel (a bad rash, toilet trouble, etc) i was switched too Andromen (http://www.burrendahpharmacy.com/pro...ucts_id=933507) I was told to apply 1 unit, twice daily. It say's this is "2%" and contains 10mg per unit. I have been told to apply this to my scrotum (strange) twice daily. Once in the morning and once mid day. I am a little confused. Surely the cream is a less powerful than the TestoGel? Can someone please explain this to me (the constant tiredness is not helping my mental state!). |

Should be much more convenient to use since it is smaller volume. Just one question, AndroGel have actual testosterone in it, I did not find on their site what is in Androderm. In any case I would not apply it to my scrotum, unless I need to boost my DHT. |

Applying testosterone (of any form - gel, cream, etc., etc.) to your back, inner thigh or anywhere else is FAR less effective than through the scrotum. Check out the research in the suggested document (http://www.androgel.us/TransdermalTe...Carruthers.pdf). Really bad quality scan but the facts are there - this is an article published in a medical journal and therefore the results of the research would have been checked and confirmed by others before it would have been published. The reason that the AndroMen suppliers suggests that you apply the cream to your scrotum is becuase that is the best place to apply it for maximum effect. AndroGel is an expensive, weak and relative to AndroMen pretty useless. The fact that it is alcohol-based is a real problem as that is what causes the itching and skin problems that can be common with users of Andrgel. Because of the alcohol in the gel you smell like a distillery when you apply it, get skin problems and have to rub it onto skin that has a real tough time absorbing the testosterone (try rubbing neat whisky into your scrotum, which would be the best place to rub ANY testosterone product, and see what it feels like). The ONLY reason that AndroGel is NOT rubbed into the scrotum is because of the alcohol which would make you burn burn burn. I buy AndroMen from these people and have no problems with it (serum levels are real good), it costs $100 for 50 applications (only need 1 dose a day because of the very high uptake from the scrotum - rather than the 2 doses a day recommended by AndroGel - need 2 doses because of the real bad rate of absorption). I buy AndroMen Testo Cream from http://www.hormonesolutions.,com.au. |
