Default Bio-identical hormone replacement therapy

Has anyone ever heard of this type of HRT treatment before and if so has it been effective?

I just located an anti-aging clinic in my area that provides this treatment. How is this different than synthetics? What is it? The fees involved for testing and monitoring hormone levels are the same. Just to set up an appointment over the phone they want to charge $600. They claim that it's a better way to go because it is natural.

There is a fair amount of marketing mumbo-jumbo involved in HRT terminology.

YES, you should be getting bio-identical HRT, which essentially means that if you get testerone replacement therapy, the hormone you are getting is testosterone, and not some other anabolic steroid that does not naturally exist in the human body.

But there is no such thing as "natural" testosterone. It is all synthetic, although the molecule is identical to your own natural testosterone.

A related question, how many supplements does this antaging clinic want to sell you? The pseudomedical "holistic" doctors, the clinics that offer deca, and anyone who emphasises bioidentical HRT do little to advance the cause of men who have a legitimate need for TRT. When subjected to the carbon isotope test used in the Tour de France, bioidentical testosterone is quickly flagged as synthesised. Bullshit like this fans the flames of antisteroid hysteria.

Be suspicious of anybody that wants to charge high prices. This is Dr. John Crisler's price list:
