Clomid for HRT??

Starting my HRT program this week at 36. I'll have the exact prescrpt later but I am being prescribed Eth. twice inject weekly, Thyroid (low thyroid), HCG - human chorionic gonadotropin - and Clomid. I asked about Arimidex - anastrozole - but the Doc said no way. Is clomid a good choice here as I am hearing some stories about bad sides and possibly making me emotional. I am 36, 5'8 155 very athletic mma training, levels were 500 but my drive is in the dumps. I have gone as low as 330 in previous tests and the family Doc told me I was fine. Is clomid going to be a mistake?

My dosage of clomiphene is 25mg.

are you coming off of anabolic steroids or prohormones?

I have never done steroids or prohormones. I have tried Forza-T/Tribulus, 60x0 a few years back with little results. This is a legit TRT/HRT program set up by my Dr. for my low levels. I hear Clomid at 25mg. a day is a low dose and less sides. I am reading about a supplement called Sustain that could possibly be used in place but I have never tried it before. Any thoughts? Thanks!

doing clomid to assess the nature of the hypogonadism is not common but done. I know nothing about sustain. It's come up on the board so do a search. The assessment with clomid only or arimidex only would be done before starting to replace testosterone. The protocols for primary and secondary hypogonadism are the same regardless of source. Testing 6-8 weeks after the protocol has started is common. Look at the sticky posts for the protocols and testing schedules. You will find these on the Men's Health Forum.
