Default Clomid success or failure ???

Hi guys

I need some help again.

My story short, is that I have had symptoms of low T since starting finastride in 2001. Even after I stopped it 1½ years ago my symptoms are still here.

Those symptoms are:
Brainfog
Trouble concentrate
Bad memory
No libido
Easily get sick with flu/cold

In the period feb. to june 2005, I was tested 3 times for Testosterone and the results came back in the low end. 8.2, 8, and 10,6 nmol/l (ref: 8- 30). I had low LH/ FSH as well.

Then I saw an endo, and I sugested clomid for a few months to try and kickstart my system, and so I did. I took clomid for 2 months and it put my T over the top while taking it, 35nmol/l (ref: 8-30).

Now the problem... My post clomid results are better, but not as high as I had hoped for.

1 month after clomid: 16,5 nmol/l (ref: 8-30)
3 months after clomid: 16,9 nmol/l (ref: 8-30)

I feel slightly better now, don't get sich all the time and have more energy, but the brainfog and other brain symptoms are no better.

My endo thinks 16,X nmol/l is fine, but is it really ?

I dont know if I should push for TRT or just wait and see if I get better with time. Afterall my T is twice as high now compared to before.

Any advice about what I should do ?

Thanks!

JH

Was on Clomid for 2 months and a week.

Week 1: 100mg /day
Week 2: 50mg /day
Week 3-7: 25mg/day
Week 8: 12,5mg/day
Week 9: 6,25mg/day

Felt the same on clomid, as I do now with a T level on 16,9nmol/l

Gotta warn you though.... I still have floaters, now 3 months after clomid, in my left eye. Dunno if they ever will go away.

Then I would not try Clomid anymore and if the floaters don't go away see an Eye Dr. 16.6 is to dam low you can't live with levels of a 90 yr. old man without having bone loss and all the problems of Low T. I would try not doing anything for up to 6 months getting tested every 4 weeks to see what is going on and if your levels keep going up then your on your way. But if they go down or stay the same you may be better off on TRT.

In theory, nolvadex should work better than clomid. Nolvadex effects both pituitary and hypothalmus as opposed to clomid which only directly effects one

In real life though, I don't know. General opinion is that clomid is better for hpta restoration than nolva.

JH,

What are your current LH/FSH, DHT, E2, and Total E levels after your clomid experiment.

I have read many BB now tend to loke Nolvadex or Clomid, I believe Nolvadex has less of an estrogenic effect then Clomid.

Before clomid:

LH: 2 and 2.3 iu/l (1-10)
FSH: 1.3 and 1.4 iu/l (1-15)
DHT: 0.91 nmol/l (0.8 – 2.8)
E2: 0.04 and 0.08 nmol/l (0.00 - 0.20)
SHBG: 19 and 23 nmol/l (10 - 75)
Testosterone Index: 0.43 and 0.47
Total E: not tested

After clomid:

LH: 2.8 iu/l (1-10)
FSH: 1.7 iu/l (1-15)
DHT: not tested
E2: 0.14 (0.00 - 0.20)
SHBG: 31 nmol/l (10 - 75)
Testosterone Index: 0.53
Total E: not tested

For those who asked, floaters are dark dots or shapes in your eye that follow your eyemovement, so you can't focus on them.

BTW. Im fairly sure my DHT was higher when on clomid cause I got that wellknown hairloss telling itch on my crown, that made me start propecia in the first place. Now, after I stopped clomid, it's gone.

Phil, thanks for replying!, I would still like more comments though.
