Hey all, i finally have an appointment with an Endicrinologist(sp) It has been determined my T levels are low!! And recently being diagnose with insulin resistance, also a consequence of a low T count, i would like to be well armed when i visit. What sould i expect? What should i be asking/looking for? Any help would be much appreciated.

Here are some links. www.allthingsmale.com read the TRT: A Recipe for Success and the HCG Update.
Make dam sure before you go on TRT to find out why you have low levels. Going on TRT is for life. Have your sperm checked first and if good and you want kids have some frozen.

I thought it wasn't necessarily always for life. I thought it could sometimes rebalance your system if combined with HCG?
I wouldn't really want to have to depend on anything for life.
You wouldn't ever really be worse off if you ever decided to quit would you?
I hope I'm not just running this thread around in circles, am I ..
This depends on why your low if you did steroids you can restart. If your low do to a bad infection or from Adrenal Fatugue due to over training hell the list is long. But if your primary or secondary it's for life.

How can I tell? I didn't do steroids, I did Propecia, for 3 WEEKS only!!! And its been 2 months!
I have had discomfort for the 2 months since stopping, and T is low, and SHBG high. Its really starting to frustrate me. I thought I would be ok in time.

You were not on it that long and it should come back but it takes time what are your labs did you check E2 Estradiol if this is high and your take some Indolplex/DIM your SHBG will come back down and your total and free T will go back up.
Please post your labs.

As long as you stay within the guidlines for your age and get your blood wrok done you will be fine .Remember testosterone is medicine, it is only a drug when you over do it
I was told using trandermal trt would not effect my sperm count or the little natural production I have left (300 and 10). The doctor has me on hcg when taking injectable but said not to worry about shutting down when on t lotion. Wish Mariacano would check in because my guy sounds wrong?

When on TRT keep all important analytes under control.
BAT~575 (or in upper 1/4 of range)
E2(20-30) DHT~upper range(but not very high, transdermals tends to raise DHT too much)
To keep normal testis in normal production one needs 306IU hcg EOD.
This is per study.
Something about 400IU EOD should suffice for close to normal testis.
On should also be fertile on such a shcedule.
If there is difficulty, add 75iu HMG every day.
Observe for about 3 months, if no pregnancy, check you sperm.

Fertility doctors do not worry about estrodial levels or if one is able to have erections or not.
They do not worry about proper testosterone levels either.
They are single minded in helping couple to get pregnant.
There is no need to screw the rest of your health just because you want to have a baby.

Your doctor is surly wrong.. Transdermal Test will shut down your natural production of testosterone no doubt. If you want to resume your testicles function, you'll need to inject HCG along. As far as the sperm count, I don't think HCG will help with that because it does not replace your natural FSH produciton. On TRT your FSH will be zero. Many guys seeking to have a baby will interrupt their TRT and restart for the sole purpose of fertility. Or, you may want to find out more about the possibility of adding HMG to your TRT, but I'm not sure how well that will work.
