I was told using trandermal trt would not effect my sperm count or the little natural production I have left (300 and 10). The doctor has me on hcg when taking injectable but said not to worry about shutting down when on t lotion. Wish Mariacano would check in because my guy sounds wrong?
Transdermal will shut you down as much as IM. I am on Transdermal with HCG regimen. I do 25mg T Cream every day and 100iu HCG every day. I have had no problems with fertility. It is very important that you do 100iu HCG every day together with your transdermal T. Bear in mind that HCG will also increase your T, so you will probably have to adjust your transdermal down. More than 100iu of HCG per day is not necessary and may lead to estrogen problems.
More factors here than LH and FSH.
Intratesticular testosterone ITT is also needed to make the sperm mature.
HCG to my recollection does nothing for FSH, but rFSH and or HMG have LH and FSH.
Clomid for example @ 100mg a day for 5 to 7 days will double LH output, and increase FSH by 20% to 50%.
Beings that the nuts produce ITT, if you take exogenous testosterone endogenous production stops, you may have base levels of serum test, but not test in the nuts and this test sperm needs to work.
I want to have kids one day(maybe 10 years), but I'm 22 with partial secondary hypogonadism. Can I go on TRT now without HCG and all that and just wait till I'm ready to have kids and then go off TRT or add HCG and resume my fertility. Or do the testicles actually atrophy so much that they are unusable for life.
Also If I ever went off TRT could I resume my previous low levels of T and fertility?

If you do solo T without HCG, you will become infertile. With proper TRT that includes HCG as part of your regimen, you will remain fertile while on TRT.
So If I go on TRT without HCG for 10 years and then go off it when I'm ready to have kids, will I become fertile again? I just figure it be a pain in the ass to inject HCG so often for 10 years if I don't have to.

No, you will not become fertile again. HCG is shot subQ with a diabetic syringe, so there is no pain.

My endo told me he has a patient who was on TRT who was on Testim only for few years and then he added clomid just before he wanted to conceive and he got two kids.
I got a kid when I was on androgel.
I think nothing has beene proved till now. Did anybody tried being on TRT without HCG or CLomid for several years and then got kid by adding hcg or clomid.

Going on TRT solo may not cause one to become primary hypogonodal, depending on the T dosage and also what the T converts to. If one has a high DHT conversion, then this will more likely cause the HPTA to shutdown. Ultimately, nobody knows how any particular person will react to TRT, or how long a particular person would have to be on TRT to become primary hypogonodal. If one does however become primary hypogonodal, then no amount of HCG or clomid is going to reverse this condition. If one has fertility concerns, then why would one risk any possibility of becoming primary hypogonodal. Besides keeping one fertile, HCG provides the other benefits of LH, which are necessary in someone who is hypogonodal.
is there any danger to the liver with transdermals, injectables? the prescribing information for all types of testosterone lists liver problems or liver cancer as a potential (but rare) side effect? does anyone know anything about that?
