Determining Hcg dosage

If one has a bottle of 10,000 units and ads the 10ml bacteriostatic (sterile) water and than uses an insulin needle of 50 units per shot, how much Hcg is being used per injection.

I am not good at math and my doctor did not explain much to me, just gave me the bottles.

if you add the full 10 ml fo water then you have 10,000 units / 10 ml which equals 1000 units / ml. The insulin needle which shows 50 max is really 0.50 ml. So a full 0.50 ml would be equal to 1/2 ml. Since 1000 units / ml then 1/2 ml would be equal to 500 units HCG.

Is this the dose the doctor wants you to take? 500 units per injection?

I have the same problem but my hcg is 15,000IU's with 10ml of water how will that break down?

1,500mcg per ml .. very easy .. I make mine at least 2,000mcg/ml because i usually start with 3,000mcg 1st day

You lost me here everthing I have read or know about doesing HCG is in IU's how dose 2000mcg's/ml = IU's.

FarmerJohn's explanation is correct. If you can mix 15ml of water instead of 10ml with your 15,000iu's, then Farmerjohn's explanation would apply to you as well.

It has already been mixed with with 10ml of water in a 15,000IU HCG vial. I didn't have to calculate it before because the slin pins my doc gave me said measured in mcg and ml. I just measured to .25mcg on it but now I have different slin pins and have to measure using ml. So would 25 be considered 250 IU's?

If you have 15,000 iu in 10 ml of water then that means you have 1500 iu per ml of water. So if you are taking 25 on an insulin syringe ( 25 really means 0.25 ml) then you are taking (0.25 x 1500 iu) 375 iu.

If you want 250iu's then 250/1500 = 0.1667, so draw HCG up to the 16 (240iu) or 17(255iu) mark on the insulin syringe. Remember there is no 17 mark, because the increments are in 2's, so 17 would be between the 16 and 18 mark.
